Costa Rica Highlights with Guanacaste

Welcome to join our Costa Rica beach holiday! Our driver will meet you up on time according to your flight schedule at San Jose Airport (Juan Santamaria International Airport). Then he/she will send you to your hotel. After checking in, you can stroll around in the city center. If you want to visit some attractions, you can go to Museo Nacional de Costa Rica to get a general understanding of Costa Rica's culture and history. You can also go to Central Park, where many locals have picnic and do sports.

Today we will head to Tortuguero on the Caribbean coast after breakfast. The whole journey is 135 km, taking around 3 hours by car and 1.5 hours by boat. Your driver will drive by Braulio Carrillo National Park and reach Guapiles region first, then the shared bus and boat arranged by your lodge will take you through banana plantation, picturesque towns, beautiful rainforest to arrive and check in. After having lunch, take a group tour to visit Tortuguero town and Turtle Museum.

Today we will enjoy a day trip in Tortuguero National Park and jungle. We will take a boat tour through Tortuguero Canal in the park in the morning, to look for endemic wildlife and observe lush flora. If you are lucky, you will see monkeys, herons, toucans, even sloths, anteaters, and more. In the afternoon, we will take a relaxed hiking tour to roam in the jungle. At night, we suggest you to join in a tour of seeing green turtles nesting and laying their eggs (nesting period is from July to October and the charge is arranged on your own).

Today, your lodge will arrange the boat and bus to transfer you to Guapiles, our private driver will pick up you there and drive around 2 hours to La Fortuna, the whole journey is 210 km.

We will spend all the day in Arenal Volcano National Park today. In the morning, we will experience a sky walk tour in Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridge Park. We will see different kinds of animals and feel the magnificence of the forests while walking on the suspension bridges. Then visit the La Fortuna Waterfall. In the afternoon, we will hike to Arenal Volcano, you will see the volcanic rocks, then visit the Arenal Lake. In the evening, you will enjoy a relaxing bathing in Tabacon Hot Spring.

In the morning, your will follow the guide to take a Don Juan Coffee and Chocolate Tour to learn the working process, picking, cleaning, baking, grinding and you will have a taste. Then, you will go to Monteverde by jeep-boat-jeep with driver for around 60 kilometers (37 miles). You will take jeep to the port at Arenal Lake to take a boat to the opposite port. Then you will take another jeep to Monteverde. The whole journey takes around 2.5 hours. Upon arrival, you will check in the hotel. The rest of the time is free on your own.

After breakfast, you will join in a group Hanging Bridges tour and Zipline tour in Monteverde Sky Adventures Park and try to find the different animals and appreciate the beautiful scenery, you will fly over the forests like the superman, to experience the excitement yourself. In the guided night tour, listen carefully to the wonderful calls of the wildlife.

In the morning, the driver will transfer you to Tamarindo in Guanacaste Reserve for around 162 kilometers (101 miles) and it takes around 3 hours. When we arrive, we will check in the hotel and have a rest. In the afternoon, we will join in a group tour, we will go first by small boat and then by catamaran. You can watch a brilliant sunset on the catamaran and enjoy snorkeling to search for various sea creatures. Enjoy a nice afternoon and then back to the hotel.

Today you can move freely in Tamarindo. It has some of the best beaches for surfing beginners, and is popular among swimming and diving enthusiasts. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the town and you can enjoy the wonderful nightlife here.

Today you still have a free day in Tamarindo. It will be nice just lying on the beach to enjoy the sunbathing.

Today is the last day of our Costa Rica beach holiday. Our driver will wait for you at the hotel and send you to Daniel Odiber Quiros International Airport. May you have a nice trip home!
