Costa Rica Canopy Tour

Thanks for choosing our escorted tours! Our driver will pick you up at Juan Santamaria International Airport upon your arrival, then drop you off at the hotel. You can have a good rest or tour around the city by yourself if you are not tired. It is advised to go to take a walk in Parque La Sabana, or go to San Jose Central Market for shopping.

Today we will go to Tortuguero by driver. Firstly, we will drive 1.5 hours through Braulio Carrillo National Park to Guapiles, then you will take the bus and boat around 3 hours arranged by your lodge to arrive at Tortuguero on the Caribbean coast. After having lunch, join in the group tour to visit Tortuguero village and Turtle Museum.

In the morning, the guide will take you to have a boat tour through Tortuguero Canal in Tortuguero National Park. You will have the opportunity to see monkeys, herons, egrets, toucans and other animals. In the afternoon, we will have a relaxed hiking in the jungle. In the evening during July and October, to watch green turtles laying their eggs is unmissable, you can arrange that with your lodge and pay on the spot if you are interested.

On the fourth day, you will head to a small town by driver, La Fortuna, which is famous for Arenal Volcano. You will to take a boat and bus arranged by lodge to back to Guapiles, and then follow your private driver around 2 hours driving to La Fortuna. The whole journey is 210 km. After checking in the hotel, you can move freely.

The first attraction today is Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridge Park, we will go through the pathway to take a Hanging Bridge tour and look for diverse wildlife. After lunch, we will visit the most active volcano in Costa Rica, Arenal Volcano. Then we will visit Arenal Lake and La Fortuna Waterfall. At night, it couldn't be better to enjoy a hot spring spa in Tabacon Spring.

In the morning, you will take a Don Juan Coffee and Chocolate Tour to learn the working process of coffee and chocolate beans, and you will have a taste. After that, the driver will transfer you from La Fortuna to Monteverde by jeep-boat-jeep. Firstly, we need to drive to the port of Arenal Lake, and then take a boat for 45 minutes to the port on the other side. Finally we will drive to Monteverde and the whole journey is around 2.5 hours. On the way, you could enjoy the scenic tropical views. After arriving at the hotel in Monteverde, you could move freely in the rest of the day.

In the morning, we will have the hiking tour at Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the cloud forest further. In the afternoon, you will join in a group Hanging Bridges tour in Monteverde Sky Adventures Park, during which you can see sloths, monkeys and other wild animals in the forest. The whole process is exciting and fun. In the evening, we will arrange an interesting night tour for you to look for animals active at night.

In the morning, we will head to Manuel Antonio from Monteverde by driver, which will take around 4 hours to run 190 km. On halfway, we will get off to take part in a Group Crocodile Boat Tour Adventure Connection at Tarcoles River. You can watch baby crocodiles' performance there. After arriving the hotel, you can have a good rest.

As for today's plan, we will spend all day in Manuel Antonio National Park. In the morning, we will travel around this park on foot. You can admire many exotic flora and animals. If you are lucky, you can see the sloths hanging from the tree. In the afternoon, you can arrange your own time. The white beach is a great place to go. You can enjoy sunbathing or play in the clear sea.

The morning is on your own arrangements. In the late afternoon, the driver will drive you back to San Jose which is 160 kilometers (100 miles) away and takes about 3 hours.
