Fairy Tale Lapland

Welcome to Finland! Upon your arrival at Helsinki airport, our driver will pick you up and send you to the carefully-selected hotel. The rest time of the day would be your free time, thus you could stroll around the downtown Helsinki on your own. There are many attractions in the city, as Finland is honored to be the Capital of Design. Senate Square and Cathedral is very eye-catching, where you could visit the white grand architecture like other tourists do.

After the hearty breakfast, start today's panoramic bus tour to visit Helsinki. You'll be informed with the meeting point in advance. The attractions to be visited include the historical centre, diplomatic quarters, Senate Square, the Presidential Palace, City Hall, Parliament, Opera Houses, the magnificent Temppeliaukio Church - the world's only one built in rocks, as well as the exceptional Lutheran church. The bus tour will end at around 12:30. Then you could enjoy the afternoon freely as you like.

Later in the afternoon, please take the overnight train to Rovaniemi on your own. The train station is very close to your hotel, so you could find the right place easily.

The train will arrive in Rovaniemi before 11:20. Located in the Arctic Circle, it's the capital of Lapland, and some people call it the second capital of Finland. You'll be picked up by the local driver at the railway station, and then transferred to the hotel in the city center surrounded by shops and bars.

Chase the Northern Lights
Please get to the meeting point before 20:45. A bus will take you to the place 50 kilometers (31 miles) away, to seek for the Northern lights - the highlight of the Lapland tour package. We're going to stay at the Lapland wilderness by river, and the guide will light the campfire and cook the Lappish sausages while waiting for the Northern lights, which would be a very great experience. On the way back to Rovaniemi, we will make a stop at Poro-Pekan Pirtti - an interesting reindeer farm.

For Lapland is the hometown of Santa Claus, today we'll arrange a Santa Claus Safari for you from 10:00 to 14:00. First, take a snowmobile to a reindeer farm where you could learn about Lappish culture and the reindeer husbandry. If you have a driver license, you could also ride the snowmobile on your own, to go across the Arctic Circle.

After a Lappish lunch, we'll go on visiting Santa Claus Village. You'll see an ice sculpture world of Santa Claus, magical and fantastic. At night, you could have dinner at a Lappish restaurant there. After that, we're to return to the hotel in Rovaniemi. On arrival, you could get relaxed in the authentic old sauna to remove the fatigue.

A free day for you. You could arrange the time on your own, to have a rest or explore Rovaniemi. We can also provide you some optional tours there, such as a dog sledding experience at a husky farm, or a cross-country skiing on the Lapland snowfield. Later the driver will send you to the railway station for you to go back to Helsinki by the overnight Santa Claus express train.
