There are direct bus to Macau or (Gongbei Border) from Guangzhou (Garden Hotel, Canton Hotel, Lido Hotel, etc). You can also take Guangzhou - Zhuhai (Gongbei Station) bus (from Guangdong Provincial Bus Station), then pass the custom to Macau. Aside from cross-boundary bus, I think the best way is to take train from Guangzhou East Train Station to Hong Kong (Hung Hom Station).
