My wife and I, we will arrive in Nanjing-airport at 11:00 and we have to go to Shanghai the same day. What would be the best and easiest way to get to Shanghai downtown. And how do we have to proceed? Taking taxi to main railwaystation in Nanjing or to South station? Can I get ticket for the train at the airport? Is there a subway to mainstation? We only speak english, therefore it should be easy .

When you arrive at airport, please take the airport shuttle bus Line 1 and get off at its terminal at main railway Station.

At this railway station, there are frequent trains departing to Shanghai Railway Station about every 10 minutes. U could purchase tickets on the spot and arrive in Shanghai in 2.5 hours. Well, please search the train schedule at https://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-trains/
