Bao'en Temple Pagoda Pictures

Bao’en Tower is situated in Bao’en Temple, which was constructed for Sun Quan’s nurse. The 76 meters (249 feet) tall tower is the highest tower in the south of China. With nine floors, eight sides and a wooden timber ladder inside, it was built in Liang Dynasty (502-557) and rebuilt in North Song Dynasty (960-1172). From the ninth floor, you can get a bird’s eye view of the old city.
