What to See in Tanzania for First Time Travelers?
Tanzania is reputed as a world-class wildlife destination due to its off-the-beaten track wildlife regions, spectacular natural scenery ranging from beaches to savannahs, fascinating history and culture. The most popular route is called the Northern Circuit, consisting of North and Central Serengeti National Park, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangeri National Park. All Big 5 (lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes and rhinos) can be found in Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park, as well as a wide variety of other wild animals. The famous Great Migration is an incredible event to witness at Serengeti National Park every year from late January to September. It's easy to go on trilling Tanzania tours for 7-10 days with game drives from park to park. If you have enough time, you may go to Zanzibar Island to enjoy beautiful pristine beaches and learn about the history of Stone Town, a world cultural heritage site.

When is the Best Time to Travel Tanzania?
Located at East Africa, Tanzania has a pleasant tropical climate but it may vary greatly by altitude and terrain in coast, low-lying western and southern. The best time to take a Tanzania vacation is in dry season from late June to October because of less rainfall and great wildlife viewing, especially the Great Migration in northen Serengeti from July to September. However, the rainfall will not interfere with your wildlife viewing in northern circuit parks (Serengeti and Ngorongoro) in low season, when the number of tourists are less, the parks are not that much busy, and accommodation rates are also lower.
Do I Need a Visa to Visit Tanzania?
Yes. Citizens of most countries require a visa. It is advised to obtain visas in advance through official online visa-application portal before your Tanzania vacation. Or you may apply for visas through local Tanzania Embassy or High Commission. Visa on arrival is also available and the process may take 1-2 hours.
How to Get to and Travel Around Tanzania?
There are three international airports in Tanzania: Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO) near Arusha, Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR) in Dar es Salaam, and Zanzibar Airport (ZNZ). If you take an overland wildlife safari in northern part, you may fly to Kilimanjaro Airport, as it is the gateway to Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. Alternatively, you may arrive in Dar es Salaam Airport or Zanzibar Airport, then connect flight to southern parks, like Selous and Ruaha of Tanzania tour packages. 4WD car drive is the best way to transfer from park to park in same region. Meanwhile, taking flight between northern and southern parks is comfortable and time-saving.

Is Tipping Customary in Tanzania Tours?
Tipping is certainly not obligatory in Tanzania tour packages. But it is a common practice to tip by expressing the satisfaction to the people who provide great services. And the tipping is the significant part to the recipient's income. To avoid any awkwardness, we suggest you take some changes of local currency or US Dollars.
Do I Need to Get Vaccination before Tanzania Vacation?
At present yellow fever and cholera vaccines are recommended to shot before travelling to Tanzania. Please also remember to take anti-malarial drugs to avoid high risk of malaria in East Africa. You are kindly advised to consult your doctor or local Health Department for the up-to-date precaution one month in advance, since vaccination requirement changes occasionally.
