Malaysia Airlines

    Brief Introduction:

Malaysia Airlines is a state-owned Malaysian company and owns probably the largest aircraft fleet in Southeast Asia. The company began in 1947 with only a twin-engine Air Consul that had a mere five seats for passengers. It developed rapidly in the 1950s. In 1966, after Singapore gained the right to operate this company jointly with Malaysia, it was renamed the Malaysia-Singapore Airlines (MSA). Later in 1972, the cooperation ceased and MSA was split into two factions: Malaysia Airlines and Singapore Airlines. Malaysia Airlines is now spreading its wings to over 110 cities across the six continents. It aspires to provide its passengers with punctual, high quality, and excellent services.

Hub: The headquarter is located in Kuala Lumpur. The air transport hub is Malaysia Kuala Lumpur International airport. The main airports are Kuching International Airport, Penang International Airport and Kota Kinabalu International Airport.

Aircraft types: The passenger transport avicade that Malaysia Airlines owns includes 37 Boeing 737-400s, 17 Boeing 777-200s, 11 Boeing 747-400s, 11 Airbus A330-300s, 5 Airbus A330-200s. The freighter aircrafts it owns are five Boeing 747s.
