Dear Michael,

I think I made an excellent choice with Travel China Guide. My husband and I really enjoyed being in a group of our own. As you know, we covered a great deal of territory in a short time. Most of the areas were tourist areas and even though we were traveling in the off-season, there were still many people at the sites. The one-on-one attention by Juliette (Beijing) and Robin (Guilin) was exactly what we wanted.

The food in Guilin was superb. Robin picked wonderful traditional dishes and helped us to try local favorites. The restaurants were very nice and well staffed. The food was flavorful and fresh.

The Beijing Duck dinner in Beijing was amazing. The lunch at the Friendship Store was not so good. I do not think this is the fault of Juliette. I think she ordered food that we love. I think the restaurant is used to catering to Westerners who are less adventurous than we are. Had this been our first stop on our trip, we would have probably loved it. But we had over 10 days of "authentic" Chinese food by that time and so this paled in comparison. The large groups in the restaurant seemed to enjoy the food more than we did.

If there was only one meal I would recommend to my family- it would be the Beijing Duck at that very restaurant!

Both the guides selected for us were fantastic. Robin and Juliette provided the attention and background we needed for an informative tour. I feel lucky to have had them both. Their command of the English language helped us to understand so much about China. Our trip would not have been the same without them. You are very lucky to have such professionals representing you in the Travel industry.

Our cars and drivers were some of the best in China. Mr. Lee in Guilin and Mr. Wong in Beijing drove safely. They both had very clean and nice vehicles with seat belts. Even though they did not speak much English, we always felt welcomed by their smiles. In addition, I really liked coming through a crowd of people to find the friendly face of my driver close by. It was like they were watching out for our safety along with our Guides.

Overall, this trip to China was incredibly memorable. I can't wait to come back.

Thanks again for an incredible China trip. We loved every minute of it and want to come back after the Olympics.

Sincerely, PJ Stevens
