The Chinggis Khaan International Airport is also known as the Ulaabataar Airport since it is located in close proximity to the city center. It is around 18km (11 mi) away from the city center and is considered as the hub of the MIAT Mongolian Airlines, Aero Mongolia, and Hunnu Air. The airport is owned by the Mongolian Government and run by the Civil Aviation Authority, it is built at an elevation of 1,300 meters (4,265 ft.) above the Sea Level. The airport has its own head office and an air investigation bureau Mongolia, this airport is considered as one of the most important airports in all of Mongolia, and the busiest.

First floor: G-MOBILE (09:00-20:00 from Monday to Friday; 10:00-17:00 on weekends)
Second floor: MOBICOM (09:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday, closed on weekends)

There are 3 banks located in the airport but only one open 24/7.
Golomt Bank: 08:30-17:30 from Monday to Friday; closed on weekends.
Trade and Development Bank (TDB): 09:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday; closed on weekends.
Arig Bank: Open 24/7
 

♦ Task force

The recent facility of the Chinggis Khaan International Airport serves as a base for Air China, Aero Mongolia, Aeroflot, Korean Air, Hunnu Air, Turkish Airlines, and MIAT Mongolian Airlines. These airlines operate regular passengers back and forth from airports. The airport also supports seasonal passengers’ charter flights from the airport.

Points for Baggage and Allowance

You must not look for shuttle buses from the airport because there are none, you will have to settle with the public buses that run from the city center and stops at the airport. The number is hard to come by but the bus routes are always mentioned in front of the buses. The estimated price for buses can be within T500 - T700.
 

b. By Bus

• Ulanbataar Station - You will find old stream locomotive at the station.
• 7th Station - This location is also very close to the airport.

Getting around by taxi can come in handy but are higher in price than the buses. You can book one from the airport itself. The airport have various shuttle partners that take the tourists to popular destination right from the airport. You will see the options of limousines for business travel and minibuses or regular taxi for group travel.
