Day 2 Luxor East & West Banks Tour
After a good breakfast at the hotel, our guide will pick you up at the hotel lobby, and then we will head out to officially start our Luxor holiday package. A morning excursion will be an exploration of the west bank of the Nile. We will first pay a visit to the Valley of the Kings, which renowned as the mausoleums of Pharaohs for generations from 1539 BC to 1075 BC. Since the tombs were dug into the steep cliffs, their entrances were always set halfway up the hill with a narrow lane leading deep into the catacombs. Inside the underground palaces, the walls and ceilings were richly decorated with exquisite murals, which survive to this day. Then, we will conclude the morning Luxor packages to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the only mausoleum dedicated to a female pharaoh.

After enjoying lunch at a smart restaurant, we will continue to visit hot scenic spots on the east bank of the Nile. First, we will follow our guide to Colossi of Memnon for the two gigantic stone statues with the total height of 20 meters (66 feet). After that, we will proceed to the Luxor Temple for the perfectly preserved murals. At the end of the day, we will move onwards to the Karnak Temple, which is the largest temple of ancient Egypt. Travelling through the majestic stone columns there, you will marvel at the grand scale of the architecture.

Karnak Temple: Karnak Temple is the largest temple complex and ancient religious site in the world. Generally, the ancient Egyptian temple has only one tower gate, while it has 10. When visiting the temple, be sure to see the giant statue of Ramses II which is the highlight of the Karnak Temple. Another highlight is the huge scarab statue. It is said that you can get a good marriage by circling it counterclockwise for 3 times, have a harmonious family and good health for 5 times, and get promoted and rich for 7 times. Try your luck!
