Guangren Lama Temple Pictures

The Guangren Lama Temple is located in the northwestern corner of Xi'an City Wall. It is the only Tibetan Buddhist Monastery in Shaanxi Province. It was built under the imperial order of Emperor Kangxi (1654-1722) of the Qing Dynasty  to consolidate the unity and stability among different minorities in the northwest of China when he inspected the West China in 1703. It was the temporary residence for the Tibetan Buddhist leaders on their way to Beijing for an audience with the emperor. Attraction Intro: Guangren Lama Temple
