The major cities for international flights are Kigali, Kamembe and Butare. Normally visitors fly into the capital Kigali International Airport (KGL), where RwandAir, Kenya Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Qatar Airways and Turkish Airlines are servicing. Helicopter transfers are available as well within Rwanda, but the fares are frequently high.

Taxis only operate in the large towns. Railway service is not developed in Rwanda, so the popular public transport is shared minibuses.
