How Do l Get to and Travel around Rwanda?

The major cities for international flights are Kigali, Kamembe and Butare. Normally visitors fly into the capital Kigali International Airport (KGL), where RwandAir, Kenya Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Qatar Airways and Turkish Airlines are servicing. Helicopter transfers are available as well within Rwanda, but the fares are frequently high.

Taxis only operate in the large towns. Railway service is not developed in Rwanda, so the popular public transport is shared minibuses. Travelling around the country by car is the most convenient way as there is a well-surfaced road network linking the major towns. However, some countryside roads are often unsurfaced especially in the rainy season. During your safari adventures, we will customize your desired Rwanda trip and arrange a private 4x4s and off-road car with an expert driver guide.
