By City-Bus
Public Bus
Public bus lines cover all the areas in Hankou, Wuchang and Hanyang at the very low price of CNY1 or CNY1.2. Exact change is required.
Tourist Bus
For backpackers or budget travelers not booked with a group, an easy way to see the city is to take the Special Tourist buses with special routes designed to cover almost all the key city tourist spots. In all the Three Towns in Wuhan, buses with the initial number of 4 are special tourist line buses.
We recommend No. 401 and No. 402 buses, as they cover most of the famous attractions in Wuhan. No. 401 will take you to Yellow Crane Tower, East Lake, Heptachord Terrace (Guqin Tai) and Guiyuan Buddhist Temple (Temple of Original Purity). If you are interested in the provincial museum, take No. 402. An all-day ticket costs CNY5 and the basic ticket is CNY2.
