How to Travel between Beijing and Wuhan

Beijing is about 1,160km (720mi) north of Wuhan. Among all the means of transport between these two cities, planes and high speed trains stand out for their shorter travel time and higher departure frequency. A flight between Beijing and Wuhan usually takes 2 to 2.5 hours and costs CNY600-2,300 for an economy class ticket. Tourists can choose either Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX) or Capital International Airport (PEK) as their departure point, and all arrive at Wuhan Tianhe International Airport (WUH). 2. Recommended Beijing to Wuhan High Speed Train: 4-6h, CNY467-623 for 2nd Class Seat

34 trains run from Beijing to Wuhan every day. From 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., nearly two trains leave from Beijing West Railway Station per hour. Two arrival stations are Wuhan Railway Station or Hankou Railway Station, so be careful when you book tickets.

Two departure stations are Beijing Fengtai Railway and West Railway Station, while three destinations are Wuchang Railway Station, Wuchang Railway Station and Hankou Railway Station. The ones departing later than 20:30 are ideal choices for budget travelers as they can save one-night hotel cost.

34 high speed trains run from 7:40 a.m. to 18:41 p.m. every day. The departure frequency is nearly two trains per hour. No matter they leave from Wuhan Railway Station or Hankou Railway Station, all are about to arrive at Beijing West Railway Station.
