My husband & I will be travelling to Shanghai for the first time. We will arrive from Guangzhou on 12/25, 10.30pm flight at Hongqiao. Could you please advise: 1) What 4-5 star hotels are best to stay in that are close to the Longyang Station as we would like to take the Maglev to Pudong Airport when we depart on the 27th. 2)Is 1 and a half day enough to see Shanghai? Not very good 4/5 star hotel choices nearby Longyang Road. My suggestion is you stay stay at Nanjing East/west Road which closed to the city center or Lujiazui area where you can see best of Pudong and Huangpu River. They are both along the Subway Line 2 which can take you to Longyang Road directly. They are not too far from Longyang Road if you want to go by taxi. The more important, you are closer to the places of interest if stay in Nanjing Road. One day and a half is enough to see some important places: The Bund (can be reached by walk from Nanjing East Road), Yuyuan and City God Temple (Bazaar and snack places), get to Xintiandi and visit Jade Buddha Temple the next day. After that, you can get back to the hotel and heading for the airport. For your reference, hope it is okay~

The hotels is about 30kms away from the airport, so it is suggested that you take a cab from Hongqiao to arrive there directly, especially after 23:00.

There is no direct bus could be used. So, it is suggested that you take the city-bus No.925A from Hongqiao Airport to get to the People's Square firstly. Here, you could take the subway Line 1 to reach Shanghai Railway Station, where you could catch a bullet train to arrive in Suzhou in 40 minutes.

Take bus No. 806 and get off at Xujiahui. The place is just few minutes' drive from there. Suggest you show the address to the taxi driver to get there easier. :-)

Seems there is no direct shuttle bus from Longyang Rd to Hongqiao. Although there is city-bus could be used, I don't think you have enought time. So, you have to take a taxi to the airport directly.
