3 Days Family Fun

Day 1 Ocean Park Hong Kong - Victoria Peak - Madame Tussauds Hong Kong
Ocean Park
Ocean Park is a marine-life theme park featuring animals, thrill rides and shows. It is located in the south end of Hong Kong Island. Take MTR South Island Line and get off at Ocean Park Station, Exit B, to reach the north gate. Covering a sheer size of 226 acres, this park is divided into two major attraction areas, the Waterfront and the Summit. The two areas are connected by Cable Car and Ocean Express funicular train. The admission fee of the park is HK$438 for adults, HK$219 for children between 3 to 11 years old, and free for kids under 3 years old. As there are many attractions in this large park, at least half a day is recommended. Be prepared for the long queue lines if you travel on weekends or holidays.

After that, take MTR South Island Line and get off at Admiralty Station, Exit B. Then walk around 10 minutes to the Peak Tram Lower Terminus on Garden Road. Take the Peak Tram to the Peak Tower and enjoy the spectacular skylines of Hong Kong at Sky Terrace 428. Late afternoon is the best time to visit the Peak as you can not only enjoy the beautiful day views, but also watch the charming night views of Hong Kong since it is getting dark very fast.

The Peak Tower is also home to the Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, which is famous for its great wax figures. Both parents and kids could find their favorite figures there and take pictures with them. The combo ticket of round-trip Peak Tram + Madame Tussands Hong Kong + Sky Terrace 428 is HK$335 for adults, HK$235 for kids (3-11 years old) and seniors (above 65 years old).
Day 2 Disneyland Park
Disneyland Park is one that cannot be missed for family travel in Hong Kong. It is located on Lantau Island near the airport and can be easily accessed by MTR. At Sunny Bay Station, change to Disney Line to reach the park. Trains run very frequently, every few minutes or so. It only takes 30 minutes either from MTR Kowloon Station or Hong Kong Station. Once you arrive, purchase tickets at the entrance. The one-day ticket fee is HK$589 for adults, HK$419 for children aged 3 to 11 years old, and HK$100 for seniors over 65 years old.

Although Hong Kong Disneyland is the smallest one in the world, it still needs a whole day to see the main attractions. After finishing, take the MTR back. It runs until late at night.
Day 3 Ngong Ping 360 - Big Buddha - Po Lin Monastery - Tai O Fishing Village
Lantau Island
Today's itinerary guides you to experience another side of Hong Kong, a little bit more relaxing contrary to the hustle and bustle city life. Lantau Island, the biggest outlying island in Hong Kong, is home to the Big Buddha. Take MTR and get off at Tung Chung Station, Exit B. Walk a few minutes to take the Ngong Ping 360 cable car uphill to the Big Buddha. The single trip ticket fee is HK$130 for a standard cabin and HK$180 for a crystal cabin. It is recommended to take the crystal cabin as you can overlook the Lantau Island, even the beautiful view underneath your feet.

After about 25 minutes, you will arrive on the Ngong Ping village, and then climb up to see the bronze Big Buddha with 112 ft tall and 250 tons in weight. Opposite the Buddha, it is the Po Lin Monastery, whose vegetarian restaurant is very famous. You may have lunch there.

Then you could take either taxi or bus 21 from Ngong Ping village to Tai O Fishing Village. This unique fishing village is famous for its seafood, stilt-houses and fishing culture. Your family may stroll through the small streets, explore the surroundings, take photographs and taste the best seafood and snacks. After that, reverse your trip back.
