Mount Emei - Leshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area, famous for its unique natural landscape and Buddhist culture integration, was listed as a world cultural and natural heritage by UNESCO in 1996. One-Day Itinerary for Mount Emei
For a day trip, depart early to Emeishan Station or arrive the night before. Take the scenic sightseeing bus for 2 hours to Leidongping, then hike 1.5km or 30 mins to Jieyin Hall, where you can ride the Golden Summit Cableway to the peak, the cableway takes 6-10 minutes. After exploring, return via cableway, walk back to Leidongping, and take the bus down.
Tips
Dress warmly - mountain temperatures drop sharply, especially at sunrise.
Avoid provoking wild monkeys - observe from a distance during hikes.
