Maree, I’m afraid you need to book a tour from a travel agency and then apply for a group tourist L type through the agency to enter PRC for a visit.
Asked by Olivier from FRANCE | May. 10, 2016 01:29Reply
I am holder of a french ordinary passport and need to urgently go to Shenzhen.
Can I fly to Hong Kong (where I don't need a visa) and apply for a 5 Days entry permit for Shenzhen at the border between Hong Kong and Shenzhen?
If so, can I get immediately this 5 days visa for Shenzhen on the spot?
If yes, what would be the required documents?

Thank you for your kind answer,

Best regards

Olivier, sorry, you cannot apply for a 5-day VOA in Shenzhen. You need to apply for a normal visa beforehand.

You should apply for F type for this conference. If you are now working in France, you should check the consular districts of embassy and consulate above then find out the correct office for application. If your residency belongs to Paris or Marseille, you need to submit your application to CVASC. BTW, it is too early to apply now, and the best time for application is in Ausgust if you plan to visit in September 2014.
