You can have a try. Usually, the longest validity of a China visa for French citizens is 12 months. The stay duration ranges from 30 days to 90 days depending on your situation.

Zavid, it's difficult for you to apply for a 5-year visa. You can try to apply for a one or two years M visa with multiple entries.
