It’s not always convenient to pay by card on some less-touristy small islands. Exchange money at an Authorized Money Changer, a bank such as Mandiri and BNI, or an ATM. Avoid exchanging money at the airport or popular spots since you may face bad exchange rates. BMC Seminyak is a good choice during your stay in Seminyak.
➤ SIM Card
You could purchase a local SIM card after arriving. Telkomsel is one of the best choices for network operator. The best-selling plan is priced IDR 150,000 (approximately USD 9), with 25GB of data and valid for 30 days. XL Axiata is also a travelers’ choice with more affordable prices and network coverage in most cities and islands.

After relaxation on the beach, you’ll be led to Uluwatu Temple, the only clifftop temple in Bali. Built in the 11th century on Lover’s Cliff, it stands over 70 meters (230 ft.) above sea level, offering a breathtaking view of the Indian Ocean. The architecture of the temple is an example of Balinese style, with featured Bentar gate and religious stone carvings. Stand at the edge of a cliff, and listen to the waves lapping the rock. As the sun slowly sets and the sky changes from blue to a mixture of pink, orange and purple, the charming traditional Kecak Fire Dance will be performed on the amphitheater. Enjoy the mysterious dance accompanied by human voices, and get to know the story of the epic Ramayana. After the show, we will send you back to the hotel.
➤ Tips:
1. Uluwatu is home to a lot of naughty monkeys that usually snatch visitors’ stuff such as hats, phones and sunglasses. It’s necessary to take good care of your belongings while visiting.
2. It’s better to choose a front seat facing the sea, from which you could get a better view of the performance and the scenery.

Today, your guide and driver will first accompany you to visit Tegenungan Waterfall, which is one of the largest and highest waterfalls in Bali. Under the 15-meter (50 ft.) waterfall, there is a natural pool where you could swim or play in the water. Besides, you could take some epic photos and better enjoy the splendid scenery from the viewing platform near the waterfall. Then, pay a visit to Gunung Kawi Temple, a temple complex hidden in Bali’s “Valley of the Kings” with a thousand-year history. Follow the stone-paved path and descend hundreds of steps to get to the 10 shrines hewn into the cliffs, which are 7-meter high (23 ft.) and dedicated to King Udayana (a revered monarch in ancient Bali’s history) as well as his sons and wives. Thereafter, we’ll proceed to Kintamani to enjoy a panoramic view of Mount Batur, one of the largest active volcanoes in Bali with a height of over 1,700 meters (5,577ft.). The formidable volcano lies craggy and puffs out white fumes constantly. Below the volcano is the vast Lake Batur, surrounded by fertile farmlands dotted with peaceful villages.
In the afternoon, let’s move to the UNESCO-listed Tegalalang Rice Terraces, which is one of the most visited spots in Ubud. Surrounded by rolling hills and tall coconut trees, the rice fields show a perfect combination of nature and culture, with scenic view and farmers doing their daily routine. Walk around the rice terraces full of green, breathe in the refreshing air, and take some photos of the impressive view.
➤ Tips: It might be slippery and muddy in the fields, so please watch your step during your visit. There are some jungle swings and other photo spots near the rice terraces. If interested, you could pay for an experience.
After that, let’s head to the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary. The lush forest is home to hundreds of Balinese macaques, which are believed to be the subordinates of Hanuman, the Monkey God in Hindu mythology. The monkeys are revered and taken well care of by local people. The sanctuary is shady with pleasant cool air, full of religious statues and structure. However, notice that some monkeys may try to grab things from visitors, so please be careful and mind your belongings. After today’ tour, you’ll be escorted back to the hotel.
