Day 2 Day trip of downtown Beirut
After breakfast, our guide and the chauffeur will pick you up on time at the hotel lobby for this full day sightseeing of the capital city. We will head for the National Museum, the first stop of our Beirut tours. Through the guide’s detailed commentary, you will be amazed by Lebanon's rich history and antiquities. The top treasure of the museum, the Phoenician Alphabet Tablet, should not be missed. Afterwards, we’ll visit the Mohammad Al-Amin Mosque, the most prominent mosque in Lebanon. Seeing the turquoise and yellowish appearance and lavish interior decorations, you will feel the deep influence and reverence of Muslim culture here. Then the guide will lead you to visit the adjacent Saint Georges Maronite Cathedral.
After lunch, we'll head to Beirut Souks where you'll see the most obvious landmark, the Clock Tower. Finally, let's walk into the campus of the American University of Beirut, which is known as the Harvard of the Middle East, and where you would be impressed by the youth and energy of the students. At dusk, the guide will take you to the coast of the Mediterranean to see the Pigeon Rocks (Raouche Rocks) offshore. We’ll walk along the Corniche to enjoy the sunset and finish off a perfect day.

Day 3 World Heritage Pilgrimage to Anjar & Baalbek
In the morning we will drive 1.5 hours from west to east through the hinterland of Lebanon to reach Anjar, a World Heritage site. Built in the 8th century AD, the Anjar Ancient City is strategically located at the intersection of the ancient trade routes linking Damascus to the south, making it the only inland trading center in history. Our guide will take you to visit the Umayyad Anjar Ruins, where the palaces, public baths, and mosques were built. Now you can see the restored framework of the palace and its surrounding arcades, through which you can imagine the past glory of the Umayyad Dynasty.
In the afternoon, we’ll drive about 1 hour northeast to Baalbek, another World Heritage site of Lebanon. Visit the Temples of Baalbek, including the Temple of Jupiter, the Temple of Bacchus and the Temple of Venus. It is the most important archaeological site in the Middle East and the largest and best-preserved ancient Roman site in the world!
Finally, on the way back to Beirut, we will stop at the renowned Chateau Ksara where our guide will show you around and offer you a chance to taste the authentic local wine. If you are not interested in wine, we can arrange a visit to the Taanayel Lake for you as an alternative. In the evening, the guide and the chauffeur will accompany you back to the hotel in Beirut.

Day 4 Northern excursion to Jeita Grotto, Byblos Ancient City & Harissa
In the morning, we'll drive half an hour to the Jeita Grotto in the Nahr al-Kalb Valley, 18 km (11 mi) north of Beirut. The Jeita Grotto is home to the world's largest and most beautiful collection of stalagmites, and also Lebanon's national symbol and top tourist destination. We have arranged a cable car to take you to the upper cave for a walking tour and a boat to take you down the underground river in the lower cave. You could easily complete the panoramic tour of the Jeita Grotto and marvel at the wonders of nature.
After lunch, continue our drive north to the ancient city of Byblos. Inhabited since 5000 BC, it is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Later in the afternoon, we will go back to Beirut, visiting the mountain village of Harissa on the way. Hidden in the mountains, this small village is best known for the Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon, one of the country's most important places of pilgrimage. Our staff will arrange the cable car seats in advance for you to see the village from high above and appreciate the breathtaking views of the bay surrounding Harissa. Upon arrival at Beirut, the guide and the chauffeur will escort you back to the hotel.
