The Huanghuacheng section is located in Huairou, Beijing, about 60 kilometers (37 miles) from the downtown of Beijing. Each summer, the village under the Wall is immersed in a sea of yellow wild flowers. 'Yellow flower' is 'huanghua' in Chinese. Hence, this village got the name Hunghuacheng, and this section is called Huanghuacheng Great Wall.
