Day 2 Beijing
Temple of Heaven (including making and flying kites), A la carte lunch, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City. (B+L)
The Great Wall
Photo by our client Mr. Vic Gladstone
After the breakfast, we will start this Beijing family tour with a visit to the Temple of Heaven. Here the Emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368 - 1911) prayed to the heavens for a good harvest in the coming year. It is also a nice place for flying kites. If you want to have a try flying a kite with your kids, you can join a special kite making class in the kite shop, and make one for yourself and fly it soon. We will arrange this for you. After that, lunch will be a la carte (valued at CNY150.00 per person and included in our price) at a popular local restaurant. Our guide will assist you and your children to order the dishes you favor.

In the afternoon, we will go to the Tiananmen Square, located at the heart of Beijing City. The founding of The People's Republic of China was declared here. The Monument to People's Heroes and Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao both dominate the centre of the Square. Then following our guide, you will stroll to the Forbidden City. This was the palace of 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is the largest collection of preserved ancient wooden structures in the world. You and your kids can explore and absorb the ambiance of the surroundings and relive the history that radiated from these ancient structures. It may take about 2 hours to cover the whole site. We will leave some time for rest.

Meals: Western buffet breakfast, A la carte lunch
Day 3 Beijing
Mutianyu Great Wall with a round-trip cable car, Sacred Way, Olympic Bird's Nest. (B)
Forbidden City
The Great Wall is a must-see when you visit Beijing, and we arrange for you to see the Mutianyu section. It is less crowded than other sections, so you will have a more relaxing sightseeing. The round trip cable car is included so that it will be much easier for your family to climb the wall. By the way, there is still a distance that needs to be finished by hiking, which is an enjoyable challenge for you. When you arrive at the top, you will be amazed at the stunning view. Embrace the majestic vigor and breathe the fresh air. There is nothing better than sharing the joy of triumph with your family. Surely this will be your memorable experience of lifetime.

We will not arrange a lunch for you, because the food provided by the nearby restaurants may not meet our standards. We suggest you have a full breakfast and bring some easy-carrying snacks. Besides, our guide will also give you some advice on where to eat. Afterwards, we will continue your private Beijing family tour to the Sacred Way. Both sides of the path are lined with impressive stone carvings, which reflect the majesty and solemnity of an imperial mausoleum. After a relaxing wander along the path, our driver will take you back to downtown, and stop at the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium) for a while so that you can take some photos for memory.

Meals: Western buffet breakfast
Day 4 Beijing
Pandas in Beijing Zoo, Summer Palace, Science and Technology Museum. (B)
A fantastic rickshaw riding in the Hutong tour
This morning, our guide will take you to Beijing Zoo, where your kids can get close to the animal world. The giant pandas are the highlights of the park. There are also other rare animals such as golden monkey, Siberian tiger, elk and red-crowned crane. Then proceed to the Summer Palace, a well-preserved imperial garden. Combined with the natural landscape, Longevity Mountain and Kunming Lake, the garden seems to be more delicate and elegant. If the weather is fine, you can row a boat in the lake with your family (optional item with a surcharge).

Then, we will head to China Science and Technology Museum. There are different themed exhibition halls, where you and your kids can conduct experiments, solve problems and explore the unknown world together. There are also amazing cinemas, where your kids can experience the fantastic special effects. You will discover the wonder of science and love it.
