Songhong Rd. ↔ Zhangjiang High Technology Park

Subway Line 2 has been in operation since 2000. It is a busy west-east main artery linking Changning District in the west and Pudong New Area in the east of Shanghai. Line 2 extends 25.2 kilometers (15.7 miles) and covers 17 stations beside many of Shanghai's famous attractions and commercial streets, including Zhongshan Park, Jing'an Temple, West Nanjing Rd., People's Square, East Nanjing Rd., Lujiazui Financial and Trade Zone, Century Park and Zhangjiang High Technology Park.
At Longyang Rd. Station near the east end of Line 2, you can take Shanghai Maglev Train (SMT) to go to Pudong International Airport.
Line 2 will be extended west to Hongqiao International Airport in the future.
Transfer: Passengers of Line 2 can transfer to Line 1 at People's Square, to Line 3 and Line 4 at Zhongshan Park and to Line 4 and Line 6 at Century Avenue.

In Pudong, you could do a short visit in the Lujiazui Area (the Pearl Tower), as well as do shopping. Then, you could take the bund sightseeing tunnel ti Puxi for visit. Or, you could take a ferry to the Bund, and then walk to the Nanjing Road until to the People's Square. Here, you could go to the Shanghai Museum, a very good place! You can stay in Nanjing Road. From there, you can walk to Jing'an Temple, the Bund, take sightseeing tunnel to Lujiazui to see Jinmao Building and World Financial Center. I has convenient subway Line, you can use Line 1 to Huaihai Road and Xujiahui for shopping, Xintiandi to see old Shanghai residenct. I once walk to Yuyuan Garden/City God Temple (with bazaar and old street)from Nanjing Road, perhaps, half a hour. Jade Buddha Temple is also a must. You can finish them in two days. Use Subway Line 2 to Longyang Road, to take Maglec train to Pudong airport.

Currently, there is no subway leading to Pudong Airport. So, when you arrive at Hongqiao Airport, please use the shuttle bus to Jing'an Temple firstly, very close! The bus fare is just CNY4. Then, you could hire a cab driving to the railway station which is just 5kms away. The fare is around CNY15.

Yes, you can take subway Line 2 from Nanjing East Road to Lujiazui (one stop at east), you can find Shanghai World Financial Center there. You can still use Subway Line 2 to World Trade Financial Center at the convergence og Gubei Road and West Yan'an Road. Get off at Loushanguan Road (6 stops west of East Nanjing Road). You have to walk south along Loushanguan Road and turn right at Yan'an West Road. Loushanguan Road Subway Station is about 1km from the world trade financial center building.

From the Jing'An district in Puxi, I don't find the Line 2 Maglev combination any faster or more convenient than taking the Airport bus from Jing An Temple.
The Maglev is good and fast taking about 8 minutes from LongYang Road station, but it takes about half an hour to get to Long Yang station, so it's about 40 minutes anyway. I find the 20kuai airport bus always takes 40-45 minutes, even in rush hour.
But for people based in Pudong, I'm sure it's great.

This line is often used if you prefer to leave or get to Shanghai Pudong Airport by the express maglev train. The transfer station is Longyang Road.
