Visitors can witness the performances by local shamans, sportsmen, and   musicians – giving them a glimpse of the local culture.

 How to reach?
Travelers heading to the Khovsgol Lake will get limited options for the transit. To travel to Mongolia in March, especially the far-off places, are accessible only via car or plane. Visitors have to take a flight to Murun town from the national capital (Ulaanbaatar). From there, taxis can be hired to cover the remaining leg of the journey. Almost 100 km (63 mi) drive from Murun to Khuvsgul Lake, would take around 4 to 5 hours and cost around US$ 25 (roundabout trip).

The two-day event began in the late 1990s, for preservation and protection of the Mongolian camel breeding heritage of the country. During the festival, locals showcase their prized Bactrian camels and participate in various games including camel polo. This festival gives the tourists a chance to learn to interact with the nomadic camel herders of the region.

 How to reach?
The most preferred way to reach Bulgan Town, is via roadways. From Ulaanbaatar, take the paved road to Dalanzadgad city. Being 580 km (360 mi) apart, the distance can be covered in 5 to 6 hours. From Dalanzadgad, take the 100 km (62 mi) long unpaved road to reach the Bulgan Town.

With spring Mongolia bursts into action – nomadic tribes coming out of their gers to tend the young blooms of the season. This is the time for traditional festivals and merrymaking. Some of the important festivals celebrated during this season are Ice Festival of Mongolia and Gobi Desert Camel Festival.

Tourists can also plan a trip to the Gorkhi-Terelj National Park or Khustai National Park. During the spring season, the valleys adjoining these venues drape itself in blooming flowers. Mongolia weather in March invokes the surreal beauty of the nature, giving it a new lease in life.
