In order to commemorate his great contribution to the renaissance of China, the city was called Zhongshan, Sun Yat-sen's Chinese family name. At the same time, the locals marked their admiration for the great man by constructing museums and a street in his honor. Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Memorial Hall is located in the city center and the Museum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen is constructed in the Cuiheng Village, his birth place. If you have a deep interest in modern Chinese history, these are must during your trip. The former can be reached by No.1 bus and the latter is available by No.12 and 48.
