You can see 61 life-size stone statues of foreign envoys, from which you can image how grand the occasion was and how powerful the Tang Dynasty was at that time. However, the statues have no heads nowadays.
The female emperor Wu Zetian left a high stele without inscription there. She let the futurities make comment on her legendary life instead of remarking herself like other emperors. Book the ticket, you will see the stele. The inscriptions you can see on it were by the later generations. You may feel touched by how wise the woman was.
