As Lijiang is located at the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, the ultraviolet rays are still strong in winter, so it is necessary to apply sunscreen when going outdoors. When climbing the snow mountain, travelers need to prepare goggles; otherwise their eyes may get hurt by the dazzling light reflecting off the snow. They can buy mini oxygen tanks in case of anoxia, because the altitude of the mountain is higher than 4,500m (14,760ft). Once they feel uncomfortable, they should instantly go down the mountain by cable cars.
