What to See in Cuba for First Time Travelers?

For first time travelers to Cuba, if your vacation is within 5 days, you can spend your time in the capital city Havana to appreciate the colonial buildings around the famous squares, enjoy an old American vintage car tour, have a day trip to the scenic Vinales Valley to explore tobacco plantation. Do I Need a Visa to Cuba?

To visit Cuba, most of the travelers like American, Canadian, Australian, etc can purchase Cuba Tourist Card from local Cuban Embassy, authorized travel agencies or airports in advance. With the Tourist Card, visitors can enjoy a maximum stay of 30 days in Cuba (90 days for Canadian visitors). Citizens from the countries like Russia, Kenya, Singapore, etc can visit Cuba without a visa for 30 to 90 days depending on nationalities. Travelers from the countries like India, Pakistan, Philippines, etc should apply for a visa from local Cuba Embassy before heading to Cuba.

How to Get to and Travel Around Cuba?

The main international airport in Cuba is Havana Jose Marti International Airport (HAV), and travelers can enter Cuba through this airport for their Cuba travel packages. When in Cuba, it is easy to reach most of the popular tourist cities by private car, bus, truck, or horse-drawn carriages. For comfort, private car and bus are suggested. Tourists usually travel by Viazul buses, which are relatively modern with air-conditioners.
