You should make an appointment to submit your application at CVASC in Tokyo. The required documents include your passport, application form and photo, Japan residence permit, and invitation letter for business from your trade partner in China.

Your daughter can apply for visit L type to visit you in China. She should prepare passport and its copy, a completed application form attached with a passport-style photo, invitation letter from you, photocopy of your passport and residence permit, travel itinerary, round trip air tickets, the latest 3-month bank statement. Next, submit the application to the visa office.

1. You can find invitation sample at this website, and then download it and fill it out for your use.
2. Travel itinerary means her stops and layover time in each stop in your trip.
3. Round Trip means both way air tickets.
4. You can use your personal bank statement, I suppose.
5. She can apply from the visa office of CVASC where her current living area belongs to.

Chinese tourist visa for American living in Japan
I can't find any information on how to mail in application materials (locations, websites, fees, etc.). Even calling/emailing places is proving to be a challenge.

Thanks for any help.
