Abby has been great. Setting up this trip and answering our concerns has been excellent so far but we have not experienced any part of the trip yet. We are waiting the flight info, vouchers etc. Concerned about what 4 flights and baggage allowances are for each. Hoping we are not paying more for baggage.

    Thank you

We have been busy back at work and planning our next visits! Our journey was amazing in every way. We consider this journey to be one of the best we have ever taken. We were initially hesitant about signing up with a company based in other countries given we were booking and paying out of Canada. However, we found this company to be the BEST we have ever dealt with - organized, respectful, efficient, communicative, and friendly.

We were thoroughly pleased with our tour. It definitely exceeded our expectations in nearly every aspect. Apart from one disappointing meal in Xi'an, our trip was nearly perfect.

We thought that the time allotted for each site was sufficient with the exception of our second day on Xi'an.

The meals were tremendous. We were thoroughly shocked as we had relatively low expectations before the trip. The guides always did their best to help order a variety of dishes to satisfy the group. The dumpling banquet/show was exceptional.

One suggestion for future groups is that I would have gladly paid additional money as part of the tour to have unlimited beverages at the meals. I thought the two drink maximum was a bit of an annoyance, especially during some of the spicier meals.

The guides' level of English was above our expectations and never caused a problem. They were all conscientious and like a walking encyclopedia of the sites we visited.

The drivers were courteous and always on-time and the busses were clean.

David in Beijing and Owen in Guilin were exceptional. They were by far the best guides during our trip. They were kind and helpful and put in a tremendous amount of effort to ensure the happiness of each member of the group.

Yes, we had an amazing time on the arrangements.... Everything was fantastic and I can't think of anything that I would have changed. The food was excellent - every meal - and all of our guides were engaging, excellent English speakers, and very knowledgable about the cultural spots we visited. Daniel, Echo, Rebecca and Amy - all kind and generous people! Rebecca went out of her way to ensure that we had a good time in Yangshuo by arranging for us to see an amazing show on the water that was not part of the organization- we were really thankful to her for taking the time to do that. Also in Yangshuo, I was surprised with a birthday cake at our evening meal and that was a great way to end a memorable day there. Thank-you to TravelChinaGuide for the thoughtfulness of that gesture.

One spot we ended up seeing in Shanghai on our own after the tour was the Jade Buddha Temple - because it is such a tranquil, beautiful place I would recommend that it be included in the Shanghai itinerary....it probably is on the longer tours but I think there would be time for groups to visit it even when there is only 1.5-2 days in the city.

We were so impressed with the professionalism of this company and the guides (and the drivers of course) and the amazing value for money that we have recommended this tour to family and friends. And yes, the buses and hotels used by TravelChinaGuide were clean and comfortable.

I have had the opportunity to ask information from Wendy Lee multiple times to add a person, change the bed configuration, add on a day and seek packing advice, and she has always responded quickly and completely. She has always been helpful. 5 Stars!

Mr Thomas and staff was superb. Mr Thomas took care of his passengers. I got to kayak because of his help.
The room was 4-stars, better than my hotel.
The food was 5-stars and plentiful. The drinks are not free but inexpensive.
I’d recommend this Pelican cruise if you’re going to Vietnam.
After our cruise, the next passengers weren’t so fortunate, there was a tornado warning in Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) and their cruise was cancelled. Safety was important.

I am a frequent traveler and this journey was one of the best experiences I ever had. The country, its history, culture and modernization will surprise you. I also should express my respect and admire for the Chinese people. They are extremely friendly, hospitable and warm. We were a group of six and everyone in the group got along with each other. We had so much fun, laughs and good times.

To me, the day we visited the Great Wall was the peak of the trip. It's a breath taking scenery, especially from the top tower, where you can feel history right in front of your eyes. Xi'an is the city of history and Shanghai was the city of the future. Two amazing cities that complete each other.

Travel China Guide delivered what they promised. They were accurate, caring and made great efforts to make sure everything went smooth. I must also mention that Maggie arrived in person, in Xi'an, to meet and check on us. She also gave each one of us a nice souvenir. Thank you Maggie!

If you are looking for an amazing, adventurous and breathtaking trip -- you should definitely choose China. If you want a 5-star travel agency that can organize such a trip -- I certainly suggest Travel China Guide.

Our guides were excellent. Ray, in Beijing, was friendly, spoke good English, and seemed very concerned about taking good care of everyone. Echo, in Xian, also spoke very well, was friendly, and knew lots of information. Lee, in Guilin, was very energetic, friendly and knowledgeable. They all had a good sense of humor and sense of caring for people. The drivers were all very skilled and we always arrived at our destinations safely. The busses were kept clean and we felt safe leaving our things on the bus when we didn't want to carry them around. It was also nice to have water available. We eventually were comfortable enough to just take our allotted amount when we needed it. Our hotels were all very nice, although the beds at some hotels seemed unusually hard.

We would recommend TravelChinaGuide to anyone planning a trip to China. Everything was well planned out, and the guides seemed able to handle anything that came up unexpectedly. Our group was a friendly bunch of people of various nationalities and we had a great time. Thank you again for a wonderful China experience.
