As one of the largest squares in the world, Kim Il Sung Square is the major venue for important ceremonies, rallies, activities, and military parades of the country. Continue to visit the Juche Tower. The tower is 557 feet (170 meters) high with a red torch on the top. In the exhibition hall inside the tower, there are 230 pieces of marble and jade from 70 countries, and each is carved with a sentence about the juche idea in different languages. Travel to the top of the tower by elevator, you will be shocked by the stunning scenery of the city with Taetong River flowing through peacefully. Our trip continues to Mansudae Grand Monument. The grand monument consists of the huge statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, and background statues of the masses. To show respect to their former presidents, the North Korean people will bow and place flowers in front of the statues, and visitors should also follow the local customs. Standing on the hill, you can also see the Chollima Statue.

Afterwards, go to experience line 1 of Pyongyang Metro. With an average depth of 328 feet (100 meters) underground, the metro system in Pyongyang is the deepest one in the world. Unlike the metro stations decorated with colorful commercial posters in other countries, the platforms of Pyongyang metro boast magnificent crystal chandeliers and huge mosaic murals. We will then head to the Arch of Triumph. Larger than the one in France, the Arch of Triumph in Pyongyang was built to commemorate the victory of the two wars against Japanese and American led by former president Kim Il Sung.

In the afternoon, we will drive to Wonsan (200 k.m., 4 hours) and check in at the hotel. The night is free for you, but foreign visitors are not allowed to go out without the Korean guides. So we suggest that you enjoy the beautiful night scene of the city in your room.
