After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up and transfer you to Longsheng to visit the Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces. The drive lasts around two hours. The terraces in Longsheng stretch layer upon layer from the mountain base to its summit. The local ethnic Zhuang people started to construct and use the amazing terraces from the 13th century. Now the terraces cover an area of 66 square kilometers (about 16,308 acres) and span an altitude between 300 meters (about 984 feet) and 1,100 meters (about 3,608 feet).
You will have access to a maze of hiking trails through the rice terraces full of incredible views. Standing on the top, you will get nothing, but a 360-degree view of cascading rice terraces and curve lines around the mountains. You will then pay a visit to the Villages of Zhuang People to experience their unique Chinese ethnic culture.
Afterwards, continue the private trip to Sanjiang, another typical place that is home to ethnic Dong people. Stay overnight at the local 4-star Jingxiang Hotel.

Day 3 Sanjiang - Guilin, Dong Minority Village Tour
Local people repairing their house, Longsheng
Today you will take a Dong Minority tour. Situated at the foot of mountains and surrounded by rivers, the Dong Village features well-preserved residential houses and charming natural landscape. In the village, you will see the landmark construction, the Wind and Rain Bridge, which blends the styles of bridge, corridor and kiosk into a whole, reflecting the unique Dong style and the wisdom of the Dong people. The bridge was built with wood and bricks and provided a shelter for the people who worked in fields, but later became a date place for the young people and a famous attraction to visitors.
Another typical building in the Dong Village is the Drum Tower. It is always located in the center of a village, acting as the political and cultural center. Every time when the chief of the village beats the drum on the top floor, villagers will stop their work and get together around the Tower.
You will then be transfered back to Guilin and have a good rest at your hotel.

Day 4 Li River Cruise to Yangshuo, Countryside Trip and Local Farmer's Home Visit
Li River Cruise
In the morning, you will take a cruise journey along Li River down to Yangshuo where picturesque scenery comes into view all the way: numerous hills and peaks flank along the river and reflect shadows on the crystal water, while patches of fields decorate the banks on both sides. The cruise journey takes 3 to 4 hours.
Upon arrival in Yangshuo, your guide will help you to check in to the 4-star New Century Hotel for a two-night stay. After a short rest, continue your visit to the West Street which is a traditional Southern Chinese street but shows the unique international flavor because of the large number of foreign residents here.
Then we will transfer you along the country road to enjoy the beautiful natural scenery of Yangshuo. On the way, you will stop over at a villager's house to learn more about the local farmers' life.
Meals: Western buffet breakfast, Lunch
Accommodation: New Century Hotel

Our Friendly Tips
The cruise company offers very simple box lunch on board. It may fail to meet with your approval. We suggests you prepare for the cruise with a generous breakfast at your hotel.

Day 5 Bamboo Raft on Yulong River and Fuli Ancient Town
Bamboo rafts on Yulong River
This morning you will have a traditional Bamboo Raft drifting along the Yulong River, which is the longest tributary of Li River in Yangshuo. An exciting drifting is the perfect cherry on top of a trip to Yangshuo. When you go over the ups and downs along the River, do not forget to soak in the stunning countryside scenery.
After 50-minute’s bamboo drifting, a short drive will take you to an ancient town, Fuli Town. Standing beside Li River, this little town has a history of over 1,000 years. Over there, you will see old houses and buildings and people still keep their traditional custom. It is also the hometown of Chinese painted fans. There is a Fan Street with stores and stalls selling painted fans and hanging pictures. If interested, you can also try to paint one by yourself. Finally, we will drive back to Yangshuo.
Meals: Western buffet breakfast
Accommodation: New Century Hotel

Our Friendly Tips
Yulong River rafting cannot be missed. But when experiencing, you are supposed to follow the guide or the clerk and take necessary safety precautions. Since the activity is not suitable for children under 1 meter (3.3 feet) high, seniors over 65 and uncomfortable tourists, we will introduce and arrange other entertainment projects for you.
The weather condition exerts great influence on drifting. If the plan changes because of the heavy rain or rising water levels, we will adjust the arrangement properly in time.

Day 6 Classic Guilin and Departure
Daxu Ancient Town
After breakfast, we will return to Guilin. On the way, you will visit the Daxu Ancient Town, one of the four ancient market towns in Guangxi. Most ancient residences on road sides are two-storey buildings built with blue bricks and tiles in the Ming (1368 - 1644) and Qing Dynasties (1644 - 1911). With the Li River to its west, it boasts the best position to appreciate the scenery of Li River and the opposite Snail Hill.
Then you will proceed to the Reed Flute Cave which is one of China's most noted karst caves. You will see various shapes of stalagmites and stalactites which bear interesting names, like Dragon Pagoda, Crystal Palace and Primeval Forest.
The last stop is the Elephant Trunk Hill. Regarded as the emblem of the City, the hill is a naturally formed karst rock resembling a giant elephant. Taking photos in front of the hill will definitely be a memorable thing for you.
Afterwards, our private transfer will take you to the airport for your onward flight. Farewell and have a pleasant trip home!

It charges around 400-500yuan, as I remember. It’s really worth it and the scenery is great! There are many travel agencies can book the cruise or you can also book it form the official website of Li river. Nine Trip!

The way you mentioned is a good choice. The coach from Zhangjiajie Bus Station to Changsha takes about 4 hours. It is best to catch the bus to arrive in Changsha Lituo Bus Station. Then you can walk to the South Railway Station to take a high speed train to get there in 3.5 hours.
