6 Days of Kunming - Yiliang - Chaishitan Rock Patch - Yiliang - Xiaoshao Village - Shilin Town - Long Lake - Kunming

On your first day, take a coach to Yiliang County at Dongju Passenger Station. The bus sets off every 20 minutes and it charges you CNY10-15 per person. Change to the minibus to Chaishitan Rock Patch after one hour journey on the bus. You need to pay CNY5-7. Upon arrival at Chaishitan, have your lunch in the scenic area. The admission fee is CNY20. Start to hike and drifting is recommended in the afternoon. Drifting including insurance may charge you CNY80-100. Please pay more regard to safety while drifting. Stay overnight in the scenic area.

On the morning of your second day, go on visiting the Chaishitan Dam, which is the highest dam in Yunnan Province. You may ride a speed boat to explore the reservoir area. Finish your sightseeing in Chaishitan Rock Patch, go back to Yiliang County and have your lunch here. Walk to the Wanjia Garden in Wanjiaao Village which is located only 1 kilometer (0.6 mile) south of the county seat. Covering an area of 130 acres, this garden is the base for floriculture in Kunming. Stay overnight in Yiliang County.

On the third day, take a minibus to Xiaoshao Village，which is about 30 kilometers (18.6 miles) north of Yiliang County. It spends you CNY3-5. Upon arrival at the village, go to the Xiaoshao Village Visitor's Center firstly. It is a nice experience to taste the mushrooms here. After a short break, move on hiking to Sun Valley, where a stream stretching over 10 kilometers (6.2 miles). Walking along the road at the bottom of the valley, you can not only experience the exciting adventure, but also have the natural beauty in full view. It takes you about 4-5 hours to hike in the valley. According to personal preference, you may choose to find an open area to camp or accommodate yourself in the village. There are seven dwellings there and the lodging fee is CNY15.

On the morning of the fourth day, stroll to DadieshuI Waterfall and Shiban River. The admission fee of Dadieshui Waterfall is CNY20. After visiting the Waterfall, go to the Dieshui hydropower station which is 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) away. Take a minibus to Shilin Town and it charges you CNY5. Stay overnight in the town.

Take a minibus from the Shilin Town to the Azhuodi Village on the fifth day and it costs you CNY5-7. Upon arrival at the Azhuodi Village, you are kindly suggested to arrange your accommodation firstly. The local condition is not very good and only standard twin rooms are available. The hostel rate is CNY30-60 per room and no TV set or private bathroom are equipped. In the afternoon, you could stroll around the village. The forests of apple and persimmon trees might raise your interests. Climbing up the little hummock will also be fun.

On the sixth day, you walk to the Long Lake Scenic Area which is about 5 kilometers (3 miles) away. The entrance ticket will charge you CNY10. It is adorable to bring your own food and have a picnic there. Go back to Shilin Town and transfer back to Kunming City in the afternoon.
