Nanliguan
About 1.5 kilometers from Exit C of Nanliguan is the Hun River Evening Ferry Park, which is perfect for cycling and enjoying the sunset. It is recommended to go there at dusk to watch the sunset, then just head east, pass several bridges, and arrive at a local nigh market with light shows and various snacks and barbeques.
Nanta
From Exit C, walk along Nanta Street for about 8 minutes and you will arrive at Guangci Temple. It has a history of nearly 380 years, where a white Tibetan-style pagoda still stands. Locals often come to circumambulate the pagoda to pray for good blessings. Right across the Guangci Temple is Pengying Taoist Temple, which is the only female Taoist priests' practice site in Northeast China.
The design of the station hall is also very distinctive. On the walls, there are carvings of the "Eight Most Scenic Spots of Ancient Shenyang", such as the evening ferry crossing of the Hun River, the ringing of the imperial temple bell, and the coolness of the willow pond in summer. Walking among them is like traveling back to ancient Shenyang.
Sports Center
Get out from Exit 2 and walk about 10 minutes to reach the east gate of Nanhu Park. This is a time-honored park in the city center, perfect for observing the citizens' daily life. You'll see boats gliding slowly across the lake, and old people chatting or playing chess under the weeping willows along the shore. There's also a retro-style Ferris wheel that makes you feel as if you've stepped back into the year 2000.
Tiexi Auto Factory
Tiexi Auto Factory Station is near the BMW Brilliance Tiexi Plant, one of BMW's largest production bases worldwide and China's first automobile factory. Getting out of Exit B1, and it takes about 5 minutes on foot to reach Gate 2 of the factory. You’ll witness the birth of a BMW car here starting from steel plates and finished with a complete car product.
Xihe Yougu Park
The station is right next to the waterfront park with a river crossing through. From the B1 exit, walk south for about 5 to 10 minutes and you will reach the park. The Swan Castle Amusement Park and the Sino-German International Style Street, which stand among the park's expansive grassland, make the place like a fairy tale world and attract a lot of families with kids and camping lovers to seek leisure here.
Industrial Exhibition Hall
The station takes its name from the Liaoning Industrial Exhibition Hall, about 3-minute walk from Exit C, which now hosts various large-scale exhibitions such as auto shows every now and then. The transfer passage features display panels on the history of Shenyang's industrial development while transferring to Metro Line 2.
