Shenyang North Railway Station

Shenyang North Railway Station is 3 miles (5 km) from Shenyang Railway Station, 2.5 miles (4 km) from Shenyang Imperial Palace and 15.5 miles (25 km) from Taoxian International Airport. Currently, the station serves as a main hub along Beijing-Harbin and Harbin-Dalian High Speed Railways.

Shenyang North Railway Station

Shenyang North Train Station is made up of two five-storey terminal buildings and two squares, the south and north square. The two terminal buildings are standing back to back looking from outside but connected and formed into one inside. There is an elevated vehicle passage to the elevated waiting hall of the two terminal buildings.

 North Terminal Building:
 2F: waiting hall, check points, waiting area for mothers and babies
 1F: platforms
 -1F: underground passage, parking lot, taxi stand
 -2F: parking lot for private cars
 -3F: metro platforms

 South Terminal Building:
 2F: entrance, waiting hall
 1F: platforms, station hall, platform
 -1F: railway underpass, parking lot for private cars, taxi stands, metro underground passage, exits

And to the east side of the south terminal building, the ticket office and luggage office are reachable; to the west side of it, baggage claim office is easily accessible.

Passengers arriving by bus will get off at the south or the north square. If a ticket is in hand, passengers can enter the station directly to find the correct waiting area according to the ticket information. If not, ticket offices can be found in both the south and north terminal buildings. Passengers can find the closest one to buy a ticket and then go to the waiting hall to wait for the departure.

 Arrival by the Metro
Metro line 2:
Passengers taking metro to the station can get out from exit A or B and arrive at the South Square. 

Metro line 4: 
Passengers are advised to take the Metro Line 4 and use exit A or C1 to reach the South Square.

 If arriving by taxi, passengers will be dropped off on the elevated drop-off area outside the waiting hall on 2F.

Arrival by long-distance bus:
Liaoning Provincial Express Passenger Transport Station is located to the southeast of the North Train Station. Passengers arriving by coach can find the railway terminal easily by its appearance.
 One thing to remember is that passengers should make sure where to have their tickets checked. They should read their tickets carefully before checking in. Please note that pink tickets should be checked manually, while blue ones can be handled at automatic ticket check machines. When getting onboard, please put the luggage in the right place in case that it falls and hurts others.

 Upon arriving, passengers will be led to the exit hall through the underground passage. After that, find bus, taxi or metro following direction boards to leave the station.

 Leave by metro:
Metro entrances are located on -2F of both south and north terminal buildings. Passengers can go to the nearest one according to their location.

 Leave by bus:
Bus stops can be found on both north and south squares. Passengers should confirm their routes first and then find the right one to take and leave the station.

 Leave by taxi:
Taxi stands are available on the north square and on -1F of the south terminal building. When confirming their location, passengers can go to the nearest one.

 Leave by long-distance bus:
Go to the Coach Station to the southeast of the station to take coaches to leave the station. Passengers can take coaches here to other places such as Dandong, Fuxin, Panjin, Dalian, Jinzhou, Huludao, Xingcheng, and Changchun.

 Transportation to other places:
 Shenyang Imperial Palace:
1. Take metro line 1 at the north station to Youth Street and then change to metro line 2 to Huanyuan Gate, exit B. After, walk 730 yards (670 meters) eastward to the palace.
2. Take bus line 228 at Huigong Square East and get off at Xihua Gate of Imperial Palace.

 Shenyang Railway Station:
1. Take metro line 1 at the north station to Youth Street and then change to metro line 2 to get there.
2. Take bus line 328 at the North Station Front and get to the destination.

 South Railway Station:
Take bus no. 333 to the South Station directly.

 Taoxian International Airport:
Take Airport Shuttle Bus Line 1 at the Liaoning Provincial Express Passenger Transport Station to the airport. The bus is available at 06:00, 07:00, 08:00, 17:00, 18:00 and every 30 minutes from 09:00 to 17:00.
  Ticket Office:
South Terminal Building:
Ticket offices are located to the east of the south terminal building for passengers’ convenience. Barrier-free windows for the disabled and ticket refund windows are available on the first floor. Another 27 windows are set up on the second floor to provide services including ticket purchasing, ticket change, and ticket refund.

North Terminal Building:
Nine windows are provided on the first floor of the north terminal building to serve passengers. After obtaining a ticket, passengers can go through the entry passage on 2F to the entrance of the elevated waiting hall.

 Waiting Hall:
The elevated waiting hall sets up 14 check points from A1 to A14 at its west and 12 check points from B2 to B13 at its east. There are altogether 50 automatic ticket check machines available for passengers’ convenience. A waiting area for mothers and babies is provided in the hall. Besides, toilets and drinking water can be found around the waiting hall.

 Left Luggage:
Three left luggage offices are available on the north square. They are located at the east of the ticket office on 1F, the north of the waiting hall on 3F and the west side of the north terminal building respectively.

 Service Desk:
The service desk is located in the center of the elevated waiting hall and mainly deals with complaint, inquiry as well as loss and found. Besides, it also provides wheelchairs, sticks, stretcher for the old, weak, sick and disabled and other services including needlework, charger as well as paper cups.
