The Beijing - Xi'an high speed train ticket will increase since March 28, 2026. For instance, the second class seat ticket of G351 will increase from CNY 577.5 to CNY 618. But a 5%-10% discount will be offered in the off-season.

High speed trains are among the best choices to travel between Beijing and Xi'an. About 25 pairs of high speed G trains operate on a daily basis. Running at the top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph), the 1,216 km (756 mi) distance takes only 4 - 6 hours. A second class seat tickets costs CNY 463 - 577.5.

In addition, 4 pairs of overnight D trains run between Beijing and Xi'an, taking nearly 7.5 - 12.5 hours. The ticket fare for a second class sleeper is CNY 350 - 354.

Metro line 2, line 4 and line 14 can conveniently serve passengers to or leave the station. Or one can take buses 149, 182, 200, 263, 264, 281, 329, 523, 530, 727, 840, 841, 866, 882, 884 to reach or leave the station.

In addition, there are about 8 pairs of ordinary overnight trains running between Beijing West Railway Station/Beijing Fengtai Railway Station and Xi'an Railway Station. Those from Beijing are available from 12:50 to 18:32; while those departures from Xian operate from 17:12 to 00:12. The whole journey takes about 12 - 18.5 hours. The ticket price for a soft sleeper ranges from CNY 415.5 - 440.5; for a hard sleeper CNY 272.5 - 288.5; and for a hard seat CNY 148.5 - 156.5.
