Currently, there are about 90 pairs of high speed trains serving passengers between Xi'an and Luoyang. With the travel time of 1 - 2 hours, these bullet trains make a day trip between the two ancient capitals possible. It costs CNY 70 - 187.5 to purchase a second class seat ticket.
