There are six railway stations in Beijing, Beijing Railway Station, and the north, west, south, east and Badaling stations.

The Beijing Railway Station mainly has trains running to Jinan, Qinhuangdao, Shanghai, Chengde, Yuanping in Shanxi, and Baotou in Inner Mongolia. It also handles international trains to Pyongyang, Ulan Bator, and Moscow.

The West Station is the largest one in the city. Passengers from the station can reach most cities in the south, southwest, and northwest of the country, including Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Xi'an, Zhengzhou, Chengdu, Changsha, Taiyuan, Xiamen, Guilin, Hohhot, Jinan, Urumqi, and Kunming.

The South Station is the fastest station in the city, as it operates high speed trains to Tianjin, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Fuzhou, Jinan, Qingdao, Harbin, Dalian, Jilin, Shijiazhuang, and Qinhuangdao.

The North Station has been closed for renovation and is scheduled to reopen by the end of 2019.

The East Station mainly operated normal trains to/from Shijiazhuang, Yanjiao, Jizhou, Fuxin, Chengde, Handan, and Huairou.

The Badaling Railway Station, about 800 meters (870 yards) from the Badaling Great Wall, operates S2 trains to/from Beijing Huangtudian, Qinghuayuan, Qinghe, Changping, Nankou, Kangzhuang, Shacheng, and Yanqing.

You have a good service. It was helpful and professional. I will probably use it again and will recommend it to others if they need a train ticket.

The train journey was quite an experience; the Beijing Station was quite crowded and hard to find a vacant seat in the waiting rooms. Eating establishments were clean and different places were available. The train car was clean and sleeping area was adequate and we were fortunate to have 2 English speaking passengers sharing the compartment with us, which made the journey quite pleasant.

Your booking service throughout our stay in China was outstanding. Thank you for this great service

    Great service

A little more instruction regarding picking up the ticket would have been helpful. Eg looking for the CR symbol so you can crabs in the correct line.

My plan was to take the bullet train which goes 300+ or 400+ km/hr. However, the train I took was not the high speed train. I did not know the difference between D and G trains. If there was an explanation about the difference on the official website to let foreigners know, that would be great. Also, there should be a sign stating the different lines for elderly, children and pregnant women, and the line for regular passengers. I stood at the wrong line without knowing it. Overall, the trip was good. ...More

I used TravelChinaGuide for many of my travel plans. Wonderful site! Booking the train through your service was well-guided and problem-free! We loved the train journey! A comfy and exciting experience! We did have a lot of difficulty checking in at the Beijing station. Of course, there was little in the way of English signage or English speakers to assist us. We spent about an hour going from one line to another until we ended up in the right place…only to have to do it again at the next step of the process.

Thanks for the service, it was really helpful and definitely saved us a lot of trouble once we arrived in Beijing - I would recommend it.
There are also some tips for all. First, Beijing railway station tip: there is one English speaking booth in Beijing railway station. To find it, you need to look at the red LED message board, they display the booth number from time to time - we initially queued in the wrong queue and were sent off, so it's worth knowing this.
Second, Train journey tip: there is always hot water in trains, so it is worth packing some tea/coffee or pot noodles with you before boarding. There is also food that you can buy on board.
Finally, A tip to upgrade the train tickets: It is sometimes possible to upgrade the tickets once on board if you are unlucky and couldn't get all the tickets you wanted (if you got seats instead of sleepers for example). To do so, you need to find the train conductor - usually located in car 8-10 - and ask him to upgrade your ticket, which is pronounced "bupiao" in Chinese. You will still need to pay the difference of price with your current ticket of course.

Very responsive, always have someone to receive phone call.
FYI, the seating code on Chinese HSR can be a bit confusing, do review the seating map to see if you have a single row, or 2 seats across on opposite side of isle.
If you have small kids that might make a fuss, 2nd class is actually more preferable than 1st and business. Kids making noises is far more acceptable in 2nd class than 1st.

Thank you very much for all your assistance in booking our train tickets. Everything went extremely smoothly. In fact your entire website was an invaluable resource for making my trip to China as easy as possible. Thanks a lot, Heidi.

I wish to inform you that I was satisfied with the quality of services. However, consider putting western toilets especially in the train from Beijing to Guangzhou. It was also a challenge to find no toilet paper in the train toilets. The rest was super.
