Beijing Railway Station is about 2.5 miles (4 kilometers) from Tiananmen Square, 5.6 miles (9 kilometers) from South Station, 6.8 miles (11 kilometers) from North Station, 8 miles (13 kilometers) from West Station, and 16.8 miles (27 kilometers) from Capital International Airport.

Currently, in the main this station is the terminus for international trains to Moscow, Ulaanbaatar, Pyongyang, and Hanoi; high speed services to northeast China; as well as regular rail services to northeast, east, and south China.
Note: currently, we offer booking service for K3, K19, K23, K27, and T8701 running from Nanning to Hanoi.

How to get to the station from downtown Beijing?
Arrival by bus:
At Bus Terminal of the station: 24, Airport Shuttle Bus Line 3, Airport Bus Line (Xidan Night Line)

Passengers arriving by bus will be dropped off outside the station. For those having a ticket already, enter the station directly from any of the three entrances in the middle of 1F. Afterwards, find your waiting room by reading your ticket or watching the LED screens. For those without a ticket, go to the ticket office on the west of the terminal building to obtain one first, and then go to the waiting hall.
Arrival by subway: Line 2
If you get to the station by subway, you arrive at the north of the station. If you have a ticket in hand, enter the station and find yourself a seat in the correct waiting hall. If not, the ticket office on the west of the terminal building is easily accessible. Go there and buy a ticket. After, go to find your waiting room.

Note: The above duration and costs may vary if journey times are prolonged by traffic lights and jams.
Passengers arriving by taxi will be dropped off at the northeast or northwest corner of the station square. Just walk to the entrance of the station and enter directly if you have a ticket. Then read the ticket carefully to find which waiting room you should go. If you haven’t bought the ticket, you need to obtain one first in the ticket office on the west of the terminal building. Later, find the right waiting room shown in the ticket to wait for the departure.
Ticket Check and Boarding
Passengers should read their tickets carefully to find where they should go to have their tickets checked. Remember that red tickets are handled manually, while blue ones can be checked at the automatic check points. Please note that the carriages are higher than the platforms, so take care when getting onboard, especially for seniors and children.
How to exit and leave the station?
Upon arrival, passengers will get off to the platform on 1F. After, follow the direction boards to get out of the station, then follow the boards to find buses, subway, and taxis to leave the station.
Leave by bus:
Please confirm which bus you are going to take first and then follow signs to find bus stops in the west, east and front of the square.

Leave by subway:
Passengers can find subway exit and entrance on the square outside the terminal.
Leave by Taxi:
There are two taxi stands on the square: one in its northeast corner with the greater number of taxis; and the other with fewer taxis to the northwest of the square, which is across the street and can be reached through the overpass.
Note: It is inadvisable to take a taxi outside the appointed stands around the station. Hiring an unlicensed taxi could have unfortunate consequences such as overcharging or other losses.
Transportation to other places from the station:
Tiananmen Square: Take subway line 2 to Qianmen, get out through Exit C and then walk northward to get there. After visiting the square, one can keep walking northward to reach the Forbidden City or go southward to Qianmen Street.
Or take bus 59 at the station east to Tiananmen east, and then walk to the square.
Badaling Great Wall: Take the subway line 2 to Jishuitan, get out from Exit B2 and walk to Deshengmen to take bus 877.
Take subway line 2 to Xizhimen, get out though Exit A1 to North Railway Station, and then take a S2 train to Badaling.
West Railway Station:
1. Take subway line 2 to Xuanwumen, change to line 4 to Caishikou, and then change to line 7 to that station.
2. Take bus 673 to get there directly.
3. If you are traveling during Spring Festival Travel Rush (Feb. 1-Mar. 12, 2018), direct shuttle buses are available. They are running from 08:00 to 17:00 with a ticket price of CNY10. The hop-on point is set to the south of the east footbridge.
4. If time suits, passengers can transfer between the two stations by the train running underground directly. K7751 departs from Beijing Station at 04:20 and arrives at the West Station at 04:36; K7752 leaves the West Station at 23:51 and gets back at 00:06. The ticket fare for a hard seat is CNY8.
South Railway Station: Take subway line 2 to Xuanwumen, and then change to line 4 to get there.
Or take bus 20, which runs directly between the two stations.
Capital International Airport: Airport shuttle bus line 3. It runs at an interval of 20 minutes from 05:00 to 21:00. The full fare is CNY24.
Or take subway line 2 to Dongzhimen, and then change to Airport Express Line to airport.
Bus / Subway Search
Facilities and Services
Ticket Office: The ticket hall is located in the west of the terminal building, equipped with special windows for ticket purchase, changing, refund, and international ticket, etc. On two sides of the railway exit, there are also ticket windows for passengers’ convenience.
Four regular waiting rooms, two soft seat waiting rooms, a bullet train waiting room, and an international waiting room can be found inside the station. Passengers should read their tickets carefully and go to the correct waiting room. An English service is provided in the international waiting room, soft seat waiting room and the central ticket checking hall. Besides, escalators, elevators, toilets, supermarkets, electronic storage cabinets, restaurants, coffee house, free drinking water, and direction boards showing locations, etc are all available here for passengers’ convenience.
LED screens: LED screens can be found in the station showing the departure time, check points, and boarding platforms and arrival times, exits on 1F and 2F.
Left luggage service is provided close to the ticket office at the west side of the station. Electronic storage cabinets are available at the entrance of the ticket office. Usually, the charge is CNY10 for a bag per day. In addition, the front square also has a deposit center where luggage needs to be checked before depositing. The fare is also CNY10 for a bag per day.
The Red Caps:
Porters who will carry luggage for passengers are easily recognized as they all wear a red cap. They usually charge CNY10 for a small bag and CNY20 for a large bag. Please note that they convey luggage to the platforms, not carriages. Passengers must carry their luggage onto the luggage from the platform themselves.
The enquiry center is on the second floor, where passengers can ask for help about departures, boarding, and ticket issues, etc.
