Currently, there are more than 15 pairs of trains running between capital Beijing and Luoyang each day. Among them, about 10 pairs are high speed trains with duration of around 3 to 4.5 hours, and distance of about 515 to 522 miles (830 to 840 kilometers).

The rest a few pairs are normal Z, T and K types which take longer time, nearly 7 to 11.5 hours; their distance is about 503 to 510 miles (810 to 820 kilometers).

There are 2 flights available a day for your option. The flight trip takes around 2 hours. But if you count the transfer time to/from airport and time for boarding process, it does not differ a lot with high speed rail service. Usually, the flight ticket price is higher. But occasionally during off season, the price can compete with rail ticket.

Class difference

What is difference of first class and second class seats in terms of comfort?

Fist class seat is larger and wider, about 160 cm * 70 cm while the second class seat is about 110 cm * 40 cm. The first class seat also has a larger room space as it has 4 seats in a row. Second class seats have 5 in a row.

how to get from bejiing internatioal airport to the main railway station

Hi, im planning to take the high speed Train from bejiing to Luoyang this comming january so im wondering how far it is and the time to get there?? How much it cost With taxi??

If you will go to Luoyang by high speed train, you would need to go to Beijing West Station. It would be around 1 to 1.5 hours on the way and costs around CNY120 to 150 by taxi. You can also take airport shuttle bus but it would be better if you prepare around 1.5 to 2 hours.

You can take bus No. 75 from the high speed station to Houzaimen Street/Kaiyuan Ave which should be the 6th stop. Then you can walk to the hotel.

How does the seats arranged in second class carriage?

Face to face or in same direction? I want to sit facing the direction of train moving. Can I turn the seat around?

The seats face the same direction of running direction, so it should not be a problem. The seats cannot be turned separately but together with all seats in same carriage.
