The rest of the day is left for you to have a good rest or to become familiar with our capital city on your own.

Day02 Beijing
Today your memorable tour starts! You will meet your group members in the hotel lobby and have a short meeting. Then head to the first stop, Tian'anmen Square, the biggest urban city square in the world. From there you will enter the Imperial Palace, also known as the Forbidden City to explore its fascinating halls and pavilions. Here, you will not only learn how the emperor handled political affairs and lived their lives, but appreciate numerous ancient art treasures. At noon, an a la carte lunch (valued at CNY150.00 per person and included in our price) will be served at a superb local restaurant, where you can have a taste of the authentic Chinese food.

In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Heaven, where the emperors worshipped the heavens in hopes of good harvests.  To round out a memorable start to your travel, we will arrange a lively and dramatic Chinese Kung Fu Show at the Red Theater.

Day03 Beijing
A granny with her grandson after shopping in the market
The morning itinerary will take you to Badaling to experience at first hand the wonder of the Great Wall and a jade factory. We suggest you wear a pair of comfortable shoes as you need to climb steps to get on the wall. Standing on the wall and looking at it stretching up and down into boundless distance is an exciting experience and will leave you a life-long memory.

To celebrate and commemorate this moment, we specially provide red wine for a group-toasting on the Great Wall. The restaurants nearby are not up to our serving standard, so we do not arrange lunch today. We suggest you have a big breakfast in the hotel and have some fast food for lunch by yourself. Our guide will show you some restaurants around.

In the afternoon, the journey will take you to the Sacred Way. En route to downtown, you will have a chance to see the exterior of the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium).

Meals: Western buffet breakfast
Day04 Beijing - Xian
Terracotta army, Xian
The first stop of today's itinerary is the Summer Palace - the largest existing imperial garden with a graceful landscape and magnificent constructions. Then we will go to a pearl store. After that, we will serve you an a la carte lunch (valued at CNY150.00 per person and included in our price) at a fancy restaurant with delicious food and great atmosphere.

In the afternoon, a trip to the old Hutongs will conclude your memorable Beijing trip. Taking the local rickshaw and traveling along the narrow lanes, you will get a close touch with the original Beijing lifestyle and culture.

Then your guide will see you off at the airport for the flight to Xian. On your arrival in Xian, the local guide will meet you outside the baggage claim area and transfer you to the downtown area to check in at the hotel for a two-night stay.

Meals: Western buffet breakfast, A la carte lunch

Day05 Xian
Mr. Bruce Wai Ning Lo's comments on our service
The visit to the magnificent Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum will start your day's trip. In the museum, there are altogether three excavated pits exhibiting amazing warrior figures and Chinese ancient weapons. Then a pottery making factory is scheduled. At noon, a special home-cooked a la carte lunch (valued at CNY100.00 per person and included in our price) will be served to you at a local home. Particularly, you can learn to cook Chinese food from the hostess. It is a good chance for you to learn more about the local people and will be one of the most memorable parts of your trip.

In the afternoon, you will visit the Xian Museum and then the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, which was built about 1,300 years ago in the Tang Dynasty to store the Buddhist scriptures brought from ancient India. A splendid evening is in store when you will be entertained by the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show while partaking of the famous Dumpling Dinner.

Meals: Western buffet breakfast, Home-cooked a la carte lunch, Dumpling Dinner

Tips: Since the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show will be closed in Jan, Feb, Mar and Dec, we do not calculate the price of the show and dumpling dinner for tours starting during this period. Clients will enjoy a free night by themselves.

A day journey will show you the essence of Shanghai. This morning, you will visit one of the four largest museums in our country, Shanghai Museum, which specializes in exhibiting art works from ancient times. After that, explore Yuyuan Garden. The symbol of the Garden is the Nine Zigzag Bridge built of granite and grass-white jade and the quaint, elegant mid-lake pavilion. Then a silk store is arranged. Afterwards, a farewell a la carte lunch (valued at CNY120.00 per person and included in our price) will be served to you.

In the afternoon, wander in the famous Bund area and Nanjing Road, and then visit an old street in Shanghai. Upon returning to the hotel, our guide will see you into the lobby to say bon voyage.

Day08 Departure from Shanghai
After breakfast at the hotel, you will travel to the airport for your homeward flight. Your 8 days China tour package is wane to the close with wonderful memories. We suggest you reserve a taxi at the hotel reception beforehand to avoid having to wait for a taxi outside. The trip to Pudong Airport (PVG) will take about one hour and cost between CNY150 to CNY200. Ensure you have at least 30 minutes' drive if your flight leaves from Hongqiao Airport (SHA). The cost for the taxi there is about CNY50. Please check carefully from which airport your flight will depart. We wish you a smooth journey home.

Alternatively, should you wish to stay on rather than return home right away, we would suggest you choose our City Package as an extension to your China adventure!

Meals: Western buffet breakfast
