After breakfast at the hotel, you will travel to the airport for your homeward flight. Your 8 days China tour package is wane to the close with wonderful memories. We suggest you reserve a taxi at the hotel reception beforehand to avoid having to wait for a taxi outside. The trip to Pudong Airport (PVG) will take about one hour and cost around CNY150. Ensure you have at least an hour and a half drive if your flight leaves from Hongqiao Airport (SHA). The cost for the taxi there is about CNY200. Please check carefully from which airport your flight will depart. We wish you a smooth journey home.

Alternatively, should you wish to stay on rather than return home right away, we would be glad to assist you for an extension trip!

Our feedback of SG01 that we took during Jul 04 – Jul 11 was positive and if I could add to that now I would only suggest an earlier flight to Shanghai from Xian would have been desirable, even if only an hour or two. All in all, it was a well-organized tour.

I and my group of 4 other travelers who toured Beijing, Xian and Shanghai was absolutely enjoyable. The initial group of 17 which narrowed down to 14 was a good number for a tour group. When we met our other tourists, we were very happy that we all got along very well. The guides and drivers were also great. We would definitely book again.

We have finished our tour on June 27, and there were so many places visited to boggle the mind - Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace, - but my favorite in Beijing was the hike in the Great Wall!

Xian is a beautiful city, less crowded, wider streets, more green trees and a great city wall - the west gate being the start of the Silk Road and where Marco Polo arrived. I was amazed by the Terra Cotta Warriors and how well the site has been preserved and presented. Tracy was excellent and I really enjoyed the home cooked lunch at a very nice high rise condo where I also met Wendy Lee.

Shanghai is an amazing metropolis, a first-world city, which has kept part of its historic areas in the beautiful gardens and bazaars shown by a flower-child, Fei-fei. I took an extra day after the trip to attend the fabulous Shanghai Auto Show, the biggest in the world! However, perhaps the most memorable times for me was to see the common people go about their daily business - selling souvenirs, showing the jade carvings, the pearl necklaces, the silk beddings. I saw a poor woman with her son singing for tips and a young boy came to give her some money but then returned to give her his toy that his mother had just bought him - a true demonstration of human kindness and charity. At a tea ceremony outside, I saw 2 children doing their homework while their father sold kites. I saw the pride of policemen.

I was smitten by the beauty of the Shanxi dancers of Xian and by the airline stewardesses in their crisp uniforms. Finally, I took the Maglev train to Shanghai airport at 301 kph = 180 mph!

The Middle Kingdom has truly awakened and the Dragon of China is again flying high!

Our guide, Candy, in Beijing was exceptional. She was very friendly and helpful, and made our time in Beijing so much fun. We also had Jacky in Xi'an and Johnny in Shanghai, and they were also both very nice and knowledgeable, but we didn't spend as much time with them, since we had booked the shorter tour. All of them gave us feedback forms to fill out on our last day. Transportation was easy and efficient. Our drivers were professional, and even hopping on a plane on our own to transfer cities was painless. All the stops on the trip were wonderful. Thank you. ... More

Everything was really interesting: I was really excited by visits to museums or historical places and just walking along streets. I was also impressed by visits to ordinary Chinese people's homes. In addition, I got known a lot of new about Chinese history, culture, cuisine, daily life, and even about the language and script. Thanks for the chance to get in touch with authentic Chinese life.

    Our review of our 8 day trip of Beijing, Xian and Shanghai;

Our Beijing part was excellent and one could not ask more from Candy, as a guide. Her English was great. Her manner, as a guide was great. I also must give praise to the bus driver. Always there and always helpful and always safe in his driving.
Candy was with us until we boarded our plane to Xian. Here we were met by Tracy. Again, she was an excellent guide, and was happy to do anything for us, doing the extra where possible. For convenience, it would be nice to have the baggage on the same bus as us. (Traveling from the airport to hotel). Again, she saw us safely away at the airport, to shanghai.
Our tour in Shanghai, although brief, was very informative and well conducted, in the time we had. The guide (Golden) was well informed but his command of English was more limited than that of our two previous guides. This, coupled with a noisy bus, made the commentary from the airport to the hotel a bit of a "mumble". The hotel had a disappointingly long check in and out procedure and the staff were not up to the standard of previous hotels. Although the room and breakfast were both up to a good standard.
    We would happily recommend TCG.

Before the trip, I was concerned about spending time in a group for 8 days but it was great spending time with like minded folks from different countries, Australia, China, England, Scotland, Zimbabwe, Canada and India were all represented in our group of ten. I enjoyed my time with these guys. Thanks for a memorable trip.

Below is my feedback regarding the recent tour I did.

I would like to thank Travel China Guide for an excellent tour. Everything ran smoothly, was well organised, and we received two of the best guides. Linda in Beijing and Tracy in Xian were two of the happiest, nicest and most helpful guides we could wish for. They knew everything about their cities and clearly loved China and their jobs sharing Chinese tourism with foreigners. Our guide in Shanghai was also good. The home-cooked meal in Xian was also the best food we had in all of China, and was a true highlight of the trip. I would highly recommend this company to everyone. ... More

Abbey, I just wanted to write and thank you for organising my holiday. Everything ran so efficiently from my first contacting you to me arriving in Beijing and then completing the trip. I would have no hesitation in recommending you and your company to friends.

I am very glad to provide the escorted China tour reviews.
All 3 guides were good. Proficient in English and very helpful. The drivers were timely and courteous and helpful with the luggage.
One of the novelties I found was the home cooked food provided. It's easy to arrange a restaurant but to go to someone's home and eat their food is a different experience altogether. To top it off, with Wendy coming to check on us in Xian to see if everything was ok was something of a personal touch.
Great...This has been my second trip with this company with positive experience. Would definitely do another tour with them in future.
