Day 1 Flying from Houston
There is one direct flight a week from Houston to Beijing with the overall travel time of around 15 hours, except Tuesday. We will book the air ticket on your behalf and confirm with you the flight information in advance. Please pack your luggage well and arrive at the airport on your own on the day of flying.
Day 2 Arrival in Beijing
When you arrive in Beijing today, we will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the reserved hotel. The rest of the day is left for you to get refreshed or be familiar with Beijing on your own.

Day 3 Beijing

Today, your China tour from Huston starts! We will first head to the Tiananmen Square, and then visit the Forbidden City, which was the imperial palace of ancient Chinese emperors. You can not only explore its fascinating halls and pavilions but also appreciate lots of ancient art treasures. Around noon, an a la carte lunch will be arranged at a fancy restaurant, where you can taste authentic Chinese food and famous Peking Roast Duck.

In the afternoon, continue to visit the Temple of Heaven with classic and unique imperial architecture. After that, our guide will accompany you to watch an exquisite Chinese Kung Fu Show at Red Theatre to conclude today’s travel.

Day 4 Beijing
After breakfast, a morning excursion will take you to the Mutianyu Great Wall, where you will see the majestic walls and beacon towers, as well as the gorgeous landscape. The round-trip cable car up and down the wall is included. Besides, we will provide you with red wine on the wall for a group toast. As restaurants nearby are of low quality, we do not arrange lunch today. It may be the best that you have a hearty breakfast or bring some fast food with you.

Get back to downtown Beijing afterwards. Then you will have some free time at a popular local market before returning to the hotel.

Day 5 Beijing - Xi'an
Today's China tour from America will take you to the Summer Palace which inherits the style of imperial gardens as well as the essence of garden construction from southern China. Afterwards, we will pass the magnificent Olympic Bird's Nest and you can see it at close quarters.

At noon, we will serve you an a la carte lunch at a nice restaurant with delicious food and great atmosphere.

Then trace the old Beijing culture by rickshaw through the traditional Hutongs. Also, a special experience of making Chinese Paper Cutting will be arranged for you. After that, you will be transferred to board a flight to Xi'an. After landing, our guide will pick you up and help you check in at the hotel.

Day 6 Xi'an

Today's China tour from Huston will be scheduled to the Terracotta Army, which houses the 2,200-year-old life size clay warriors and horses and delicate bronze chariots. Around noon, visit a local family and enjoy an authentic home cooked a la carte lunch there. If interested, you are welcomed to learn to cook Chinese cuisine from host.

Proceed to the Xi'an Museum and the Small Wild Goose Pagoda in the afternoon. This evening will be highlighted by the colorful Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show and delicious Dumpling Dinner.

 Friendly Tips

Since the theater is usually not open in Jan, Feb, Mar and Dec, we will not arrange the show and dumpling dinner for tours starting during the periods. Clients will enjoy free time to relax.
Day 7 Xi'an - Zhangjiajie

After breakfast, continue today's China tour from Huston to the City Wall Park, a great place to observe the local life. With the help of Tai Chi master, you will have a Tai Chi practice there. Then, visit the well-preserved City Wall, where you can rent a bike to ride on the top to have an overall view of Xi'an. The bike rental fee is at your own expense. An a la carte lunch will be served at a well-known restaurant.

After lunch, visit Shaanxi History Museum to explore the long history and rich culture of China. Later, a visit to the Great Mosque follows. Surrounding the mosque is a lively Muslim bazaar, where you can collect souvenirs and gifts for families and friends. Afterwards, our guide will escort you to the airport to board the flight to Zhangjiajie. Upon arrival, you will be greeted and transferred to the hotel by our Zhangjiajie guide.

Day 8 Zhangjiajie
In the morning, our guide will accompany to take the Bailong Sightseeing Elevator of 300 meters (950 feet) height to Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, where you can overlook the famous Hallelujah Mountain featured in the movie “Avatar”. Then, you will be guided to take a public sightseeing bus to Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve, which is rich in strange peaks and rocks, clouds and fog wreathed.

Afterwards, go along the Golden Whip Stream through a verdant valley and take a small train to view strangely-shaped hills along the Ten-Mile Gallery. In the end, you will be transferred to hotel to have a rest.

Day 9 Zhangjiajie

The first stop of today’s China tour from the US is Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. You will have an exciting experience on Glass Bridge, which is considered as the world’s highest and longest glass bridge up to now. Then, take a boat to cruise over Baofeng Lake, where you can enjoy clear water reflecting the surrounding mountains.

Day 10 Zhangjiajie - Shanghai
After breakfast, take the cable car to Tian Men Mountain, which is the world's most unique karst mountain. In the afternoon, our guide will see you off at the airport for a flight to Shanghai. Upon your arrival, our local guide will meet you outside the baggage claim area and transfer you to the downtown area to check in at the hotel.

Day 11 Shanghai

Today's China tour from Huston starts with a visit to Shanghai Museum which is famous for its numerous precious collections. Then, go ahead to the well-known Yu Garden and its nearby traditional bazaar. Yu Garden was a private residence, combining ancient Chinese buildings, water, hill and natural scenery. A luxurious farewell a la carte lunch will be served at an elegant restaurant with the best Shanghai cuisine.

In the afternoon, you will be guided to stroll along the Former French Concession, a great place to learn about Shanghai's colonial history. Then, wander in the prosperous Bund area and take a one-hour cruise along the Huangpu River. In the end, our guide and driver will transfer you back to the hotel and say goodbye to you.

Day 12 Shanghai - Houston
Today your China tour from the United States is going to be finished. Please pack your luggage and check out before 12:00. You can book a taxi prior to your departure. No direct flight flies from Shanghai to Houston, so you are recommended to transfer in Chicago, San Francisco or Los Angeles with the overall duration of 17 - 20 hours. Wish you a pleasant trip home!
