What to Expect
Han Yang Ling, aka Yangling Museum of Han Dynasty, is the royal tomb of Emperor Liu Qi and his empress. Liu Qi is one of the great emperors in Han Dynasty and created a golden age at that time. Han Yang Ling was completed in 128 BC after 28 years of construction, and covers an area of 12 square kilometers (2,965 acres). 

Book a ticket and you can visit the great mausoleum there. Han Yang Ling shows strict feudal social estate system and the royal funeral conception of respecting the dead as if he was still alive from scale, layout and relics.

You can see 1,800 pieces of cultural relics in Western Han Dynasty at Han Yang Ling Museum. They are dazzling and beautiful, priceless of course. The most precious ones are painted pottery figurines shaped in different postures of warriors, women, dogs, roosters, goats and sheep.

You will be attracted by the beautiful scenery too, particularly in autumn, when the leaves of large ginkgo woods turn golden. If you go there at this time, you would fall into an idyllic beautiful land.

How to get to Han Yang Ling from downtown Xi’an?
Take metro Line 2 and get off at Xi’an Municipal Library Station, then transfer to Tourist Bus 4 and get off at Han Yang Ling Station.
