Day 1 Arrival in Bali, Airport Pick-up
Welcome to Bali! Upon your arrival at Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali, your personal travel assistant will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel in 30 minutes. After settling down, the rest of the day will be free for you.
➤ Packing Tips
It is hot and humid in Bali and the average temperature stays around 30°C (86°F) all year round, so light and breathable clothes can meet your need. Visitors are required to wear modest clothes such as long sleeves and trousers while visiting temples or other religious sites. Sun block can protect your skin from being burned by the sun. Carrying mosquito repellent with you can help you avoid being bitten or even catching the dengue fever virus.
➤ How to Get around in Bali
It is convenient to take a ride in Bali. You could hail a taxi right on the street, or book one via the mobile phone app - Bluebird, Grab or Gojek, of which Bluebird usually offers a more affordable price. Motorcycle taxi is available as well.
➤ Money Exchange
The exchange ratio between the US dollar and the Indonesian rupiah is approximately1:16,300. Generally, currency exchangers near airports and popular tourist attractions are not recommended because it means bad exchange rates. You could find a nearby Authorized Money Changer on a map app, which offers a better currency exchange service according to the real-time exchange rate.
➤ Dinner Recommendations (at your own expense)
Your hotel is in Seminyak - one of the liveliest areas of Bali. If you want to taste some local food on your first night in Bali, Waroeng Bernadette (Jl. Kayu Aya No.17 Kayu Aya Square Oberoi) is a good choice. The specialty of this restaurant is beef rendang, a kind of traditional spicy meat dish. The average cost per person is about USD 10. If you prefer Western food, you may go to Boy’N’Cow (Jl. Raya Kerobokan no. 138), which is the best-reviewed steak restaurant in Seminyak and also offers a variety of creative cocktails.

Day 2 Seminyak: Beach Relaxation & Uluwatu Temple Sightseeing
After breakfast, your private tour guide will lead you to visit Melasti Beach, which has not been commercially developed yet and is one of the cleanest beaches in Bali. Tucked under towering cliffs, Melasti features soft white sandy beach, crystal blue water, and few tourists. It’s a good place to take photos, and has become one of the top destinations for wedding parties in Bali. Sunbathe on the beach, go swimming, or simply sprawl in a deck chair to enjoy the pleasant scenery. Then, we’ll head to Padang-Padang Beach, which is the most beloved beach in Uluwatu by both locals and tourists. There are a lot of rocks of different shapes, bringing a contrasting color with the turquoise sea and golden beach. Surfers, sunbathers and travelers gather here, seeking adventure or relaxation.
The highlight today will be Uluwatu Temple. Built on a seaside cliff in the 11th century, the temple stands 97 meters (318 ft.) above sea level. Here you can overlook the boundless Indian Ocean as well as the beach and crowd at the foot of the cliff, or immerse yourself in the glow of the sun. The sky and the sea turn orange-red in the light of the sinking sun, with waves crashing against the rocks. The temple will look more sacred as dusk approaches and the stunning Kecak Fire Dance is performed on the amphitheater. Dozens of dancers perform the ancient legend of Hanuman, the divine monkey god, against the backdrop of the sea. After the tour, you’ll be sent back to the hotel.
➤ Tips: There are groups of monkeys living near Uluwatu Temple, some of which might snatch people’s stuff like necklaces, sunglasses, mobile phones and snacks. So please be careful and take good care of your belongings.

After breakfast, your guide and driver will escort you to the next destination, Ubud. On the way, we will have a stop at the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, which is not only a habitat for monkeys, but also a sacred cultural site.
