Summer Palace
Continue our history appreciation at the Forbidden City. We will explore this big museum in-depth for 4 hours to admire the majestic halls and palaces. Lunch is served at a traditional restaurant for you to taste local food. Afterwards, we will go to visit the Summer Palace, the largest and most well-preserved royal park in China. What You Can See at the Tiananmen Square
Located in the center of the city, the square has become the symbol of Beijing, and even China. In the middle of the square, there is the Monument to the People's Heroes which rightly faces to the Tiananmen Tower northwards. On the square's west, the Great Hall of the People could be found. It is the site of the China National People's Congress. To the south, it is the Mao Zedong Memorial Hall which is a must for all of the Chinese. On the east side, the National Museum is displaying the long history of China.

What You Can See at the Forbidden City
As the largest and the most complex ancient royal palace in the world, the nearly 600 years old Forbidden City is now open to the public as a museum with a great number of rare cultural relics on display. It is composed of two parts, one is the Outer Court where the emperors held court and the other is the Inner Court where the emperors resided with their family and performed religious rites. Following our guide, you will go deep into the history behind its beauty. Besides, the grand and colored buildings here are very camera friendly, so you can make many great pictures.

What You Can See in the Summer Palace
Located in the northwest of Beijing, Summer Palace was served as the summer resort of imperial family during the Qing Dynasty. Covering an area of 727 acres, it consists of mainly Longevity Hill (Wanshou Shan) and Kunming Lake. Along with a great number of palaces, pavilions, towers, bridges, corridors, etc, that shows the perfect layout of the entire park. As you walk around the park, you will be able to appreciate the beautiful natural views and observe the magnificent architecture. Moreover, our tour guide will share more insights about the life of the emperor and empress.

Generally, our guide and driver will drop you off at Dongsishitiao Subway Station within the center of Beijing and you will then find your own way to your hotel, but it is subjected to change according to the situation of the day. You are suggested to choose a hotel within the 3rd Ring Road of the city and our guide will be willing to help you upon your request. Thanks for your attention.

The pick up time of this group tour is at 07:00 to 07:30, even though your flight arrives on time, you still need 30-60 minutes to get out of the airport and another one hour to transfer to the downtown area, it is too late to catch the tour as the group will set off at around 07:30 in the morning. So, we kindly suggest you consider taking a private trip instead. Thank you.

To ensure a smooth pick-up in the morning, we kindly suggest you book a hotel within the third ring road of the city. For your reference, you may consider the Red Wall Garden Boutique Hotel, Pentahotel Beijing, Novotel Beijing Xin Qiao and Four Seasons Hotel. If you prefer 5-star hotels, the Peninsula as well as Hotel New Otani Chang Fu Gong are also good choices. Thanks for your attention.

All of these three hotels you mentioned are located outside the 3rd Ring Road of Beijing, which require additional transfer fee if you stay at these hotels. If possible, we kindly suggest you choose downtown hotels to avoid the extra charge. Thank you.

If my flight leaves around 3 PM, will I still be able to do the tour?

As your flight leaves at 3 PM, you will have to go to the airport at around 11 AM, you are not able to sight-see all the spots in this one day group tour. Therefore, we kindly suggest you consider another full day if you want to join in this group tour, or we can help you to customize a half-day private tour which is more flexible. Thanks for your attention.
