Day 1 Beijing - Xilingol Grassland - Duolun
Mongolian yurts on the grassland
At the appointed time in the morning, our professional guide and driver will wait for you in the lobby of your hotel in Beijing. After a warm greeting, we will set out on a comfortable ride for this 7-day private Inner Mongolia tour to the Xilingol Grassland. After about 4 hours, we will reach the Royal Horse Park in Taibus Banner, where you can have a close contact with the swift horses and the wide prairie. During lunch time, you will also enjoy excellent Mongolian dancing & singing performances.

After that, you can either walk around leisurely to shoot the great natural landscape, or watch other brilliant shows, such as rodeos, horse racing and Mongolian wrestling at your own expense if interested. Then, we will drive for about 160 kilometers (100 miles) to a famous historical county - Duolun. Upon arrival, you will taste local delicacies in a good restaurant. Later, our guide will help you check into a local hotel.

Day 2 Duolun
Mongolian Wrestler
In the morning, we will transfer you to the Site of Xanadu by a 40 minutes' drive. Built in 1256, Xanadu was the capital of the Yuan Dynasty (1271 - 1368), the largest empire in ancient China, established by emperor Kublai Khan. Here you can feast your eyes with the beauty of the Jinlianchuan Prairie. Herds of sheep dot the plain just as clouds scatter in the sky. Afterwards, we will drive back to Duolun to have lunch.

Afterwards, we will pay a visit to a Tibetan Buddhist temple named Huizong, founded in 1691. If time permits, you can spend the rest of the day rambling around Duolun County. Experience the night life there and have dinner at your own expense.

Meals: Chinese breakfast, Lunch
Day 3 Duolun - Xilinhot
After breakfast, we will drive for 2.5 hours to visit the Xilinhot City. Here we will show you to the Beizi Temple - one of the most famous Tibetan Buddhism temples in Inner Mongolia. Its construction started in 1743 and leading lamas of the temple directed several renovation works later to produce the present scale, including 3 main palaces, 8 grand halls, 6 stupas and several other buildings. After that, our guide will escort you to the hotel for check-in.

Day 4 Xilinhot - West Wuzhumuqin Grassland
Beautiful prairie in autumn
Today's private Inner Mongolia tour package will start with the West Wuzhumuqin Grassland, 2 hours' drive away from Xilinhot. When getting out of the car, you can catch sight of many swamps, sand dunes and wetlands on this extensive prairie. While wandering around and taking photos, we will guide you to visit a herdsman's house to enjoy the miraculous Mongolian music, taste local dairy products, and learn more about their daily life. Like the locals, today you will spend the night in a Mongolian yurt.

Day 5 West Wuzhumuqin Grassland - Arshihaty (Asihatu) Stone Forest - Dalinur Lake
After breakfast, we will drive for 2 hours to Arshihaty (Asihatu) Stone Forest, which is a large geopark composed of peculiar glacial stone forest, vast steppe and thick woods. For shutterbugs, it is a suitable place to take photos of the unique natural sceneries in sunshine.

After 2 hours visiting, we will proceed to the Dalinur Lake, 115 kilometers (70 miles) away from the stone forest. We will check into a lakeside hotel upon arrival. After dinner, you will view the stunning sunset over the lake. At that time, the lake seems to be covered with a layer of small pieces of gold, shimmering along with the waves, which is worthy of pushing the shutter.

Day 6 Dalinur Lake - Ulan Buh Grassland
Horse-riding on the Prairie
Get up early this morning. You will be guided to the lakeside, breathing fresh cool air while seeing the sun emerging from the horizon. After having breakfast at the hotel, we will continue to tour around the fascinating Dalinur Lake with the company of various species of birds and animals.

After lunch, we will set out for Ulan Buh Grassland, the last stop of your tour from Beijing to Inner Mongolia. It is different from the wetland steppes we have visited, with grass and plants rooting in sandy land there. As the shooting place of many popular Chinese teleplays, it attracts a number of shutterbugs every year, especially in the early autumn. Later, our guide will lead you to a hotel on the grassland and help you with the check-in procedure.
