Welcome to Kunming! After landing at the airport, you will find your professional guide waiting for you at the exit. Then a comfortable drive will take you to a well-selected downtown hotel. On the way, your guide will give you a brief introduction of the whole itinerary in the following days.

After you check into the hotel and have a short break, we will go to visit a bird & flower market and then the Green Lake Park to enjoy the cozy atmosphere of this year-round spring city.

A visit to Kunming is never complete without touring the Stone Forest. After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel and escort you to explore this spectacular karst landscape. While wandering around this natural maze, you will encounter towering rocks in shapes of sharp swords, pagodas, animals, mythological figures and more.

After lunch, we continue this Kunming Dali and Lijiang trip to the Dragon Gate in Western Hills Scenic Area. While on the top, you will have a full view of the vast Dianchi Lake and the city. In the end, your guide will escort you back to the hotel.

After breakfast, your guide will see you off at the railway station for a 2-hour bullet train trip to Dali. After arriving, you will meet your local Dali guide at the railway station, and then a comfortable ride will take you to the hotel in Dali Ancient City. You will find a lot of traditional Bai ethnic minority folk houses, which give the city distinctive feel, unlike any other Chinese cities.

Then your guide will lead you to the city's landmark, the Three Pagodas, which were built during the Tang Dynasty (618-907). After that, you will meander along the ecological corridor of the Erhai Lake under the company of your guide. The beautiful lake creates wonderful photo opportunities with its clear water, seagulls in huge flocks hovering above and green mountains as backdrops. There are also several cycling routes along the Erhai Lake. If you are interested, please let your guide or your tour consultant know in advance. The rental fee will be on your own and your guide will offer assistance. After the visit, you will be transferred back to the hotel.

Today, our Yunnan tour will continue to Lijiang. En route, we will have a 30 minutes' stop at a morning market in Xizhou, where you will also have a chance to learn from the locals to make a snack called Xizhou Baba. After that, we will go sightseeing to the Yan's Compound, a magnificent mansion of the Bai ethnic minority.

Upon arrival in Lijiang, we will spend the rest of the day meandering around the Old Town. There, the traditional Naxi courtyards line up in an orderly fashion along the flagstone-paved paths and gurgling water lanes. With exquisite bridges, blooming flowers and verdant plants as finishing touches, the town offers great scenery from any angle. At the end of the day, your guide will escort you to check into the hotel.

When it comes to Lijiang, one has to mention the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, the most sacred place in the local Naxi people's mind. This morning, a comfortable ride will take you to unveil its mystery. While getting there, you will be able to enjoy a full view of the snow mountain at the meadow of Ganhaizi. After that, you will take a ropeway uphill to the Spruce meadow where the snow mountain brings out its best to visitors. You may be surprised to know that no one has made it to the summit of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain so far! How incredible! Apart from the changeable weather, the mountain is very precipitous as the slope reaches 70 or 80 degrees, and there is no path going up anymore above the altitude of 4,680 meters (15,354 feet). What’s more, the rocks on Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, especially the summit, is so incompact that it will collapse as soon as you step there. All these thanks to the perennial erosion of strong winds and snow as well as active geological activities. After having a short break, we will return to the mountain foot for lunch.

After lunch, we will continue this private Lijiang tour to the Baisha Village where you will admire the renowned Baisha Murals. You will also visit a local Naxi family to learn more about their daily life. In the end, we will drive you back to the hotel in Lijiang.

Today will be the last day of your 6-day Kunming - Dali - Lijiang tour package. You will have a morning exploration to the Black Dragon Pool Park and the Dongba Culture Museum.

After that, you will be escorted to the airport for your departure flight. We sincerely hope you have had a great time with us.
