What line should we use to get from Chongqing expo center to the city center ?

Answered by Eliana from CANADA | May. 13, 2019 01:38

Well, what do you mean the city center? Take Chongqing Railway Station as an example, take metro Expo Line to Lijia Station and transfer to metro line 6 to Hongqihegou Station, Exit 2. Then take bus no.112 (Outer Ring) to Caiyuanba Bus Stop. Afterwards, walk southwest around 150 meters to find the destination.

How long does it take to get from downtown Chongqing to Wulong Karst by car?
The cost above for a private car. Is that just to get to Wulong Karst? Or for the car to wait for you and drive you back as well? Thank you.

Generally speaking, it takes around 1.5 hours on the way. As I know, the costs is around CNY100/day. And the car will wait for you and drive you back as well.

Hi, Arty! I’d like to give you some advice:
1). If you don’t mind the spicy food, I think hot-pot is a must. Besides, Ma La Tang, Chongqing noodles, Suan La Fen, and Guo tie are great!
2). Besides Ci Qi Kou, I found other ancient towns including Songgai Ancient Town, Xituo Town, and Lai Tan Ancient Town.
3). No worry! The cash is available in all places.
Have a nice trip!

Thanks Anron.
are there any easy ways to get to Songgai, Xituo or Lai Tan for day trips?

Answered by Anron from CANADA | Sep. 17, 2018 02:50

One bus departs from Chongqing Bus Station to Songgai Ancient Town at 13:20. It takes about 1.5h and costs CNY 44.
To Xituo, you can take a bus from South Square Bus Station of Chongqing North Station at 12:30. It takes about 3h and costs CNY 80.
There is no direct bus to Lai Tan, and you need to take a regular bus from Sigongli Bus Station to Laichuan. It takes about 1h and costs CNY 30. After arrival, take a taxi to the town.
Answered by Arty from AUSTRALIA | Sep. 17, 2018 04:11

With Lai Tan, at the Laichuan stop is it easy to get a taxi? Would you know approx how much it Cost and how long it would get to Lai Tan? Cheers again
Answered by Anron | Sep. 17, 2018 18:39

Sorry. I made a mistake. It is Hechuan Bus Station, not Laichuan. After arriving, transfer a bus to Longshi Bus Station. Then you can easily find a taxi to the ancient town. Generally speaking, the cab fare is CNY20-30. Longshi Bus Station is only about 3km away from Lai Tan Ancient Town. Thus it won't take a long time.
Answered by Arty from AUSTRALIA | Sep. 19, 2018 06:25

sweet. Thanks for the clarification Anron. Makes more sense now haha

By the way. one more thing. I also stumbled across Zhongshan ancient town. (中山古镇) is that easy to get to too during december/January? Thanks.
Answered by Ivey from USA | Sep. 20, 2018 18:22

No, the best time to visit the town is in Spring(March - May)and Autumn(September - November). It is the coldest time in December or January.
Answered by Arty from AUSTRALIA | Sep. 20, 2018 18:37

Thanks Ivy,

So there will be no buses running to Zhongshan? i dont mind the cold to be honest.
Answered by Anron | Sep. 24, 2018 19:23

You can take the bus at the Chenjiaping Bus Station or Chaotianmen Bus Station to Jiangjin. The ticket price ranges from about CNY 15 to 25 and the duration is about 1 hour. Then transfer to take the bus to the ancient town at Jianjin Passenger Center with ticket fare of CNY12.
